I'm seriously considering to enter with Bohemian Rhapsody but it would be better if you guys could run a knife through your ears before listening to it as my voice might be rough.

I just discovered this. Listened to some of the entries and had a smirk. Then I got to the archives to the first contest, first song I listen is Mad World and I got amazed. I have to go to bed now, but tomorrow I am going to go straight to listen past contest entries. If there are more hidden jewels in there, I want to hear them.

After a sing star evening I am traumatized. The mic was passed around and everyone got a "fantastic/good" as soon as I got the mic the stupid thing went "bad" the hole time. I hate sing star now but I love this thread (but I am still too embarassed to join).

Hey there, just found this. I have two questions:
- Does it have to be a karaoke version or I can provide the music myself, not just the vocals?
- Is it just for undying glory and fun or is it competition for some sort of a price?

I have had people play guitar as well as sing, I deal with that in a case be case basis There is at least one person that i know their voice from prior contests so I don't bother getting addition proof that it is them anymore, if you are new, just say a brief intro before the song, it can be edited out on the this thread.
I usually buy something for the something from the winners wish list. I try to get a bundled game from the 2nd and 3rd place winners wishlist as well. in the past I have made giveaways fir everyone that sang, A few people have also provided giveaways for the singers in the bast,

About naming conventions When upload a song I'd like you to name it "song-artist-VOCALS" for the vocal only submission and "song - artist-MIX" For example if you sang "Mad World" by Gary Jules, you would upload "Mad World - Gary Jules - VOCALS" I would also appreciate if you upload a text file with your steam name, the favorite song you've covered, and if you want you name relieved after the contest ends.
