What type of slasher films do you like? The psychological? The excessively bloody? Ones with lots of startlingly jump moments?

Frailty
Martyrs
If you haven't seen The Evil Dead yet I would check that series out. It's a Zombie movie but it's a cult classic for a reason.
The Hills Have Eyes
Teeth
Ichi the Killer
Grindhouse
Audition

Few others for ya to consider if you haven't seen em

If you want an actual slasher from after 2000, I can't be of much help. Slashers as a genre pretty much died off after 1984.

So much this...there really hasn't been much for true slashers in a while.

Outside of a few indie revival slashers like Adam Green's Hatchet, I can't think of any real slashers that have even been made this decade.

Seems like you prefer more "family friendly" slashers from what I can understand from these comments, so I'll try to refrain from adding the more ruthless. Though I don't understand why you don't want any of the older or zombie ones, because they are the best.
But here goes!
Husk (2011)
The remakes of the classics, like for example Halloween or Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Wrong Turn series
The Hills Have Eyes (1, #2 might work, but I do not recommend it)
The Hitcher (2007)
Blood Feast 2 (2002)
Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl (2009) (don't let the name fool you, it's awesome)
Machine Girl (2008)
Psycho Gothic Lolita (2010)
Tokyo Gore Police(2008) (might be a bit too ruthless for your tastes(?))
Mutant Girl Squad (2010)
Robo Geisha (2009)
Samurai Princess (2009)
Meatball Machine (2005)
Battlefield Baseball (2003) (technically there's zombies in it, but since they behave just like normal civilized psychos I'll add it anyways)
Versus (2000)
Ichi the Killer (2001)
And lastly Dead Sushi! (2012) (not really slasher, but I had to add it nontheless!)
As you might've noticed I don't really watch all that many of the new horror movies since I don't like them, with the only exception with the newer japanese splatter movies mentioned above. But if you ever wake up and start wanting recommendations with zombies or the older ones, just say the word, because I am an expert on old horror with zombies and/or lots of gore/splatter.
