I'm not sure. You should keep 5% of your money to buy food and survive, and spend what's remaining in the steam sales.

$5 wouldn't buy much food lol

You're not covering nearly enough for the expenses with that. Who's gonna pay for the food, coffee and beer that you'll need to keep on playing?

That said, I'm already out of money right now. Being a student sucks.

I made 20$ with trading cards. I'm pretty sure it won't be enough. 104$ is way more than enough, I spend more or less 50$ every summer / winter sale.

I dont know why people freak out so much about the money they are going to spend on the Steam Sale. Everything is on a MASSIVE SALE, you can buy pretty much any game you want. That is the point of it.

Think a little more: Haven't you EVER spent more than 100-200 bucks on something for you during your whole life? Have you starved because of that? Can't you use spend it on games if it is what makes you happy?

Here is something you: Comic about that

PS: I know that exceptions may apply for some people, but seriously, 99% of the community have no reason to complain.

Enough is never enough.
However, I can guarantee that on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being nothingness and 10 being a high number, you'd receive a 104.3.

It depends, if you are new to steam and have almost no games, your wallet will suffer. A lot. But if you've been on steam for a while and have some games, it'll just hurt a little.

Look at your wishlist. Now REALLY look at your wishlist. Are the games on it things you really will and want to play? Is there anything missing from there?

After you have sorted and organized and chopped it to reflect what you really want to play and own, go through and see what you are really hoping to play over the next 6 months.

Figure out how much that would cost, say, half off. If you funds equal that, then you are more than fine.

You will probably have some left over to either get another thing, or make a giveaway here if you are feeling mighty spiffy and generous =).

I got about the same amount set aside but then I have another amount set aside for impulse buys. Currently I only have indie games on my wishlist but I'll end up buying some AAA games I dont have if its a good deal.
