And you can't "warn" people because you risk the suspension on calling out..
i don't think so. there is a big difference between stating someone is definitely breaking the rules, and asking him whether he has chosen the right game for the giveaway (and telling him that he should delete the GA in case it's the wrong game). i did the latter quite a few times and never got in trouble for it.

Fair enough, but half the time gifters genuinely think they are gifting the right game as they can't see Pressure on the list.
Even if you tell them then they still think they are gifting the right game.
A few weeks ago after a giveaway was over (so thinking it was safe, as noone could see it anymore except the gifter) and clear that the winner had a wrong game activated, then i told a gifter, i'd still got a warning about calling out, why i am not risking any of such anymore.

Exactly. No harm in asking if the game is the one stated above. However, in most cases it does not yield any results, especially with people who create their first GTA V-like GA, in general or just after a long time, for they do not respond to any comments and do not even bother logging in until the GA is over.

Yes it does because i see Pressure Overdrive everytime, which i want, but it isn't (i did actually see 1 person giving the actual game), and therefor i won't want to block it either.
Since it's coming from DLH and not a temporary giveaway, this is a ongoing thing.
Also many people (or leeching bots) see Pressure, thinking they redeemed the right thing while they didn't.

if you have doubts someone's giving away the wrong game, ignore it.
there's even some scripts to hide giveaways one by one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and since you can't warn them because it's calling out, let support deal with them because the rules don't help at all.

I know..ehm, I had been surprised by the reason, too, then pointed at other removed games and received the answer that it's being discussed in the support team in general.
What I wanted to say earlier was that I didn't try to continue to question the support's intention in this case, because I trust them to find a solution for this soon and I dont have to give away this game that urgently.

But games like Earth 2160 and Pirates of the Black Cove you can make giveaways, both from the same site.
There wasn't really any other mass giveaway of Pressure afaik.
Knightshift you can't however make a giveaway for either, it's a bit double.

Are Earth 2160 and pirates of the black cove currently been given away? If not then per the rules it's allowed. It's only for games that are at this moment in time free that giveaways cannot be created for. If pressure is currently free, that's why no one is able to make giveaways for it.

The "rule" starts in this chain. Since it's just a random comment instead of an edit in the OP, it's natural that most people missed it.

That's the original text of the rule which still needs to be updated to reflect the changes to the rules. As it's written that actually refers to the fact that free games can't be given away at all which was the case at the time.
The new rule that free games can be given away only after the source giveaway has ended is totally contrary to the intended spirit of the rule. Allowing giveaways for these games was largely intended to reduce the workload on support from related tickets but now rather than just adding the game to the no-CV list it has to be removed from the giveaway list whilst it's free and then re-added and put on the no-CV list afterwards.

Games removed from the store can and have been re-added to the site.

There was an official post in the discussion thread to that effect but the store page is gone.
Edit: Duh, I guess you meant SG, not Steam slapshead

i agree with not allowing games to be given away here while free elsewhere, but the policy of not having them come up in the game search when creating a giveaway just causes confusion and extra work for support. nobody thinks “oh, i guess this game isn’t allowed to be given away,” it’s either “this must be the same,” or “steamgifts is broken.”

99% it's obviously coming from DLH.net as those that gift are gifting other games from it too, people can't find Pressure on the list so they make a giveaway for Pressure Ovedrive. And you can't "warn" people because you risk the suspension on calling out..
Put Pressure back on the list.
