Are you falling in with this 'fan fest'?

View Results
[SKIP] The only fall fest I want is one where people fall down, that's always funny right?
[TOO EXPENSIVE] I'm not falling for this one, and I'm not a fan of this price!
[OWN] There's already a fan fest happening in my library, and these games got the invite long ago
[TIER 1] I'm a predator, hunting for bargains like this
[TIER 2] I'm 'wandering' if Spongebob taught Koira the cosmic shake?
[TIER 3] Growing up all the kids were talking about being a 'trainer', and with all this train content, I can achieve my goals
[GROUP BUY] Me and a few random people are starting our own fest

good price (for skipping)

Third tier is a joke and also can someone tell me what exactly is the charity they picked Code of America - I read what the say and all it seems to be is giving more money to the USA government so they can set up things to govern - isn't that what taxes are for (please correct me if I'm worng)

The HB-description for Code of America is pretty sh**.

It tries to streamline processes to make it easier for people that are eligible for example to get support from the state to actually get it by lowering the time it takes to apply for these.

Because one of the biggest problems (worldwide) is that wealthy people can just employ e.g. attorneys for legal advice on how to benefit from all the programs or have someone to go through all the loopholes.
On the other hand people who struggle, mostly lack legal advice and often don't have the time and/or energy to go through lenghty applications they sometimes either don't understand or even know that they can apply for them.

From Wikipedia:

Projects that illustrate the organization's impact include:

GetCalFresh – a portal to access food assistance programs in California that lowered the time to complete an application from 45 minutes to under 10 minutes. Users can access benefits from their mobile device and receive text message updates.

MNBenefits – a site that allows Minnesota residents to apply for a range of benefits in English or Spanish. Residents can also upload documents and get help via a live chat feature. The site takes what is often an hour long paper process down to a 12 minute task.
The work enabled $636 million in benefits for the state that would have otherwise been lost.

Clear My Record – Software that analyzes large datasets of criminal records and pinpoints records eligible to be erased or dismissed in states like California, Utah, Illinois.

GetCTC – a streamlined filing tool that enabled low-income families to claim the Child Tax Credit and other tax benefits.

GetYourRefund – an online service that allows taxpayers to access Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services virtually.

That's... actually a really good charity. Wow.

While that is a good charity, it still is questionable that us, who aren't from the US, have no other option but to support such a purely US national charity. Especially as this makes us cover for poor service standards provided by US entities.

I miss the times when we got to support our individual picks. Mine was usually Reporters Without Borders.

Feels like a weird mix of games and also quite expensive. Only care about Wandering Sword since I already have Rogue Trader.

Hell, I remember when 0.01$ Humble Bundles would grant Steam keys.

I'm mostly interested in the SpongeBob game so maybe I could fill in 5€ for it and you get the rest of the bundle?

The gift link notification for Wandering Sword https://steamdb.info/sub/840000/ was incomplete at the moment of your purchase. They updated it now to reflect the actual region locks of the sub, namely that it restricts activation in Argentina, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey.
Customers from Argentina, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey do not receive the game with their purchase, nor any other compensation yet they have to pay the same price as everyone else.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is probably a WW-redeemable key for non-commonly locked countries.
RU/CIS, SEA, LATAM probably receives https://steamdb.info/sub/797561/

Tier 3 doesn't have any region locks.
Train Sim World® 6 + the 4 DLCs featured in the bundle are delivered as a single key https://steamdb.info/sub/1434237/ that activates all 5. The deadline for activating this key is 03-May-2026.

I like the 2 lower tiers, except the Predator game. Still might snag it though as Wandering Sword looks great and that game is $15 even on gray markets.

Edit: OP, Predator has cards by the way.

Just a note that TSW6 is the free starter pack https://steamdb.info/sub/1384353/ (and not the $40 https://steamdb.info/app/3656800/)

The text isn't clear on what's included.

"*NOTE: the Base Game is free for 6 weeks from September 30th for 6 weeks, but the DLC maintains it's lowest historical discount price!"

This talks about the 4 DLC in this bundle. The DLC from TSW6 standard edition is NOT included in this bundle!
EDIT And as stated above, it comes as a single key that activates the free starter pack and the 4 DLC routes.

The sub you linked doesn't contain any DLCs, so it's not that sub, is it?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, that's the sub. The free starter pack that comes without DLC. The 4 DLC's mentioned are the (older) DLC that are listed separately in the humble bundle (Sand Patch Grade came with the original TSW!). But the problem is that if you read the text for the "free starter pack", it also details the standard version that comes with 3 DLC routes. And the text "*NOTE: the Base Game is free for 6 weeks from September 30th for 6 weeks, but the DLC maintains it's lowest historical discount price!" sounds like it includes the standard game DLC.

Technically it is under Train Sim World 6: Add Ons, but it doesnt seem to relate to it, seems to relate to the whole bundle.

It should be only the Train Sim game. Humble puts redemption deadlines under every game that has one.

Even more diabolical would be if they added redemption deadlines after people bought a bundle, without informing anyone. ;)
