I have 3 duplicate games I want to gift. I accidentally revealed 2 of them

Can they still work? also, would they be region restricted?

I'm confused.

He can't turn them into gift links again but of course he can still give away the revealed Steam keys. It's actually much safer.

Much safer? Would it be worth turning the game I have not redeemed into a steam key? or just make it a gift link and use that?

Dont use the gift link. You can get flagged for trading and banned from purchasing anything from humble in the future if you do that. Reveal the key, and give the person that you want to gift the game your key. As long as you havent use it and havent shared it to anyone else, it should work.

It's probably better to reveal the keys yourself and then use those. I'll just briefly explain the whole situation then you can decide for yourself.

There have been maybe a dozen or 2 reports of trustworthy people who never traded solely created giveaways who have been blacklisted by Humble because they were deemed commercial traders. Apparently when you're using gift links that makes it very easy for Humble to track where your games are going.

So if they see you sending many games to people all around the world there is a chance you'll be blacklisted and they'll deny any support should you run into problems in the future.

It doesn't help to explain you're giving these games away for free because they consider SteamGifts trading because you are rewarded with levels which grant access to gibs.

According to their ToS surplus keys are ment for personal use (= friends and family) and for Humble people on the internet apparently don't count as friends.

Humble has banned accounts in the past for giving away gift links to random people since trading games is against their rules. However they can't keep track of keys, so as long as you give away keys they can't do anything about it.

That's why it's safer if you give away keys and not gift links if it's possible at all.

You shouldn't redeem unredeemed Humble games at all if you don't intend to use the keys/gift links. You can still redeem them whenever you want, I have successfully redeemed keys from bundles that ended 5+ years ago.

One thing I want to add - if you click to create the giftlink, it will first tell you about any region restriction. Then you click cancel, you don't click confirm to generate the giftlink - all you wanted was to know the region lock, if any.

Now with the region lock information in hand, you can click to reveal the key and safely give it to whoever you want. :)

He can copy paste the keys anywhere thats simple logic, I dont think anyone would ask a question about it...

It might be obvious when you're a long time SteamGifter but I think in this case that was actually what OP was asking.

I think part of their concern was if the keys maybe get region restricted to just their own country when they reveal them themselves.

Well then for the OP, you can copy paste the key anywhere, when you gift a key it is still region locked to your country it does not matter if you gift it or reveal it, same region locks.

Yep. If there is a region lock that is.

Not sure if publishers generally use region locks for Israel and if they do what other countries fall under that same region.

If you or anyone else have not used Steam to register the key it is perfectly fine.

Ofc, limitations apply if you are from regions with usual restrictions. In which case just add your own country and those usually in same area as region restriction.

also would they be region restricted?

To find out if any of the games have region restrictions it's best to check out the Bundle thread of the bundle you got them from here on SteamGifts.

Yes, no problem at all.

Actually I prefer to reveal them, and then gift the keys themselves, because I don't like Humble to track me
