So I decided to create a curator group: Under 250.

Group page: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/under250
Curator: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33447839/

The premise is simple: every week (life permitting) I'll pick 1-2 indie games that I've enjoyed and feel that they deserve a bit more love. To keep it from devolving into a horrible mess, there will be some general guidelines which are as follows:

  • Not in Early Access
  • No new releases; must be on Steam for at least 3 months.
  • Limited amount of Steam reviews; Target: < 250

While these are guidelines and not set in stone, I'll be rather strict in adhering to them. The reason for the first guideline is that I don't want to waste my time with an unfinished game; no point in playing and reviewing a game if there is a chance of it going to shit a few months later (i.e. The Culling). For the other two, they are there because I don't want to promote a game that doesn't need the help. There is no point in telling the world that Rocket League or Hitman are great games since most people are somewhat aware of them and probably already own them.

That is it! If you are interested in getting a sneak peak at what I plan on reviewing next, I have a list that you can find here.
To entice you all to join, I have made a group giveaway for Dishonored 2 that you can find here: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/AUxZc/dishonored-2
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Joined and followed, I like the idea and it might help me decide when I'm looking for the next game in my backlog to tackle.
Also, thanks for the gibs :)

Followed your curation. I used to check Steam for new games every single day, so I can wishlist those that I found interesting. However once the steam opened the flood gates I just gave up.

Nice concept! I liked the "not in EA Indie" part, might be nice to see some cool indie titles which are not stuck forever in the EA hell :)

From what I've played and will vouch for, I would recommend Farabel and Crookz - The Big Heist. Imo, Crookz > Farabel since it has more depth to it, but they are both fun in their own right.

Going over my list of games to be considered, I don't see any strat games so I'll fix that today. I'm not a huge fan of strat/tactiic games, but I do enjoy playing them (Advance Wars is one of my all time favourite series). It is not a wildly popular genre in the indie space and not something that generally comes up on my radar all that often.

Phantom Doctrine just released and appears to be promising (don't own it so I can't say for sure) and if you haven't already, This Is the Police is worth playing and still on sale for another ~3h. Other than that, it might be worth looking at Space Tyrant, Templar Battleforce, Duskers, and Attack of the Earthlings. Sorry I couldn't be of more help :/.

Just thought of one more game that might interest you: Golem Gates

I would have recommended that one if I had remembered how unknown it was. Its even on my wishlist, just doesn't seem like the kind of game that would remain so overlooked.
