Looks decent, but personally I am a wait and see reviews type.

Also the genre makes certain the people not interested in the first place so just focusing on those that are interested would be the best.

That could totally break a game if its not your cup of tea.

I had the opportunity to play with a demo at an arcade game exhibition in november and yes it looked very interesting. The voiceover and the film noir style bought me instantly. About the story I cannot tell much as the demo was just a little fragment with a main goal of showing the game mechanics. At the exhibition you could also grab some postcards and a newspaper :)
The developers have a Youtube channel with some behind-the-scene videos.

Btw., another noir detective game featuring animals is in the works, and it's on Steam with a playable demo!
