I can't find any negative elements in there, and Sad both wiped her OP and brought it up, so it seems acceptable to reference.
I'm definitely glad staff has gotten more reputable over the years- the very recent trend of them leaving comments in threads before taking action against them has helped not only to keep inappropriate moderator behaviors in check, but also to demystify less readily discernible site rules (without us having to chase staff down for the clarifications).
While I missed the thread initially, there's only a single jesting comment about the thread being a begging thread, and it seems entirely insincere. Given the habits of SG's forum-goers, if there'd been anything readily apparent as problematic, it's presumably that the comments would have referenced such. Weirder still, SleepyCat was the one who closed the thread, and I can't recall anyone ever noting inappropriate behaviors from him.
Given how knee-jerk the moderators are about any hint of begging (even in some situations where it's clear to most that the topic is entirely unrelated) until recently, it's quite likely that Sadistic just phrased something ambiguously enough to trigger someone, and the thread was just closed as the normal response to an inappropriate thread (regardless of if it was such or not).
Seems far less likely to have been related to the subject matter, as wishlist-referencing threads have been reasonably common on the site (and this is the first I've heard of one having had issue).

Well, I have had issues with these topics in the past so I decided to add it this time.
And I was also thinking of adding in that all violators of the disclaimer with be hunted down, stripped naked, Velcro'd to a wall and slammed in the junk 258 times with a pneumatic pump. Stopping each time they pass out and starting up again when they wake up.
Maybe add in castration with a wooden olive fork too.
