which program to use to play with a ps3 controller via bluetooth dongle on win10?

i used on my old win7 machine some program i cannot remember but it was said it is malware. i got on steam CONTROLLER COMPANION, is this enough (you cannot play non-steam games i guess ...). what can you recommend?

ScpToolkit is also what I use. It's open-source so no way of it being malware if you compile yourself and understand what you're in fact compiling, link above.
