I feel so bad for the people who spent $130 at launch, not even a year later and the complete edition is going for $40

The 2nd DLC pack barely came out, there are 2 more to go. This is such a steep price drop so quickly. I would be so salty if I was an early adopter. Just my 2 cents. The remaining 2 DLC packs everyone gets to play at the same time

Seems like the Hellfighter preorder items are still exclusive though and imo they were the best weapons hehe

Looks like Hellfighter is included

"Battlefield 1 Revolution includes Battlefield 1 base game, Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, Harlem Hellfighter pack, Red Baron pack, Lawrence of Arabia pack, new behemoth visual appearance, 5 Battlefield 1 Battlepacks."

Most people have already moved on from that game.
So I'm probably not buying a year old game for that price.

It still has around 30k players on PC, not bad at all

It's not the player count, it's more to do with friends. All my friends that played have already drop it for new things, so 40$ to play alone, nah, I still have BF4 and 3 if I really need a fix.

That trailer looks a little bleak in comparison to the official launch trailer imho. Maybe it's just that I prefer Seven Nation Army though. Very impressive visuals but then again I'm a sucker for graphics.

Like I wrote in your other thread. I disagree. Lets say the game has a 2 year long life span. They paid twice as much to get twice as long to play with an active playerbase. I think they won in this case.

Part of me wants to buy it, other part of me doesn't need another addiction next to R6:S, PoE and PUBG....

Because monopolies are always bad for customers. Diversity creates competition.

What is the difference between forcing Origin by making a game exclusive on it or forcing Steam by making another game exclusive there?

I got BF1 pre-order for free and season pass on sale after first DLC so I am not that mad, even thought this sale is great for people who do not already have it.

origin does deep discounts on their games after a year, unlike other publishers

Origin is a publisher?

Origin is owned by EA , origin is just the storefront/platform where they sell and distribute their games online now

I'd maybe bite if Battlefront 2 wasn't about to drop, and I was able to get a key for almost the same price. And I barely have time for 1 multiplayer game.

Funny thing: i am not a MMOFPS player. But BF1 is fun. Got it as a gift, Ultimate Edition (what is now called Battlefield 1: Revolution). The last DLC improved the game and there are two more coming.

I will also point that the Premium Pass is also on discount for 30$/euro, for the owners of the standard edition.

@spiff00 Origin is a store. EA is a publisher and a developer, Origin being their official store. Just like Ubi is a publisher and a developer, with their own platform (uPlay) and their own official store. And i prefer to get Ubi's game on uPlay, rather than Steam, so i won't keep two clients open at the same time.

As for Steam, just look at the crap decisions from the last 2-3 years. Plus the fact that they get 30% from the sale. So each platform has its bad and good. All the big publishers are developing some kind of client lately: Warner, Square, Bethesda (and Bethesda already has that in beta), Take Two (Rockstar), Microsoft. At some point you will have to decide if you want to play the game and accept the platform or just look on youtube on "let's play" movies.

+1 to Steam. While I'm not a fan of having a ton of publishers to log into, steam is getting downright embarrassing. They're not the good guys at all anymore. But I still use them...

I use GOG, Origin, uPlay and Steam. No problem here. So... i have 4 clients installed, though GOG one is optional. I usually download the games and forget about it. And that is the way it should be. Sadly, it isn't.

Yep, use those all to some extend. uPlay is not installed atm though. I actually really like origin.

I was thinking of getting this for PC but I saw the player count is three times higher on PS4 so I'm kind of on the fence now. I may just buy it for my PS4 since the cost is the same and looks like it may live longer. Or I could just pass and save my money anyway. lol Still have too many other games to play.

The number of players on PC right now is unusual; before the Revolution bundle the population was half(13 000 ~ 15 000 than right now( about 28 000). Also consider Star Wars Battlefront II will arrive in November, so Battlefield 1 will have a player base drop soon. One way or another, Battlefield 1 on PC does not look healthy in the future.

Ya I decided to just hold off on the purchase. I bought Person5 instead today for my PS4 plus I just started Yakuza 0 and will follow that up with Yakuza Kiwami the remake to part 1.
