And heres about MechWarrior

Thank you for the link, SeTuR! I hope it turns out great.
I still play the classic MW 2, 3 and 4, Mercenaries and their datadisks a lot. ^^
Comment has been collapsed.
Both are classic and old school games but still enjoyable to play. :3
And I like Contract Jack too.

Unfortunately, no one knows who owns the current rights to NOLF, including the companies themselves! Someone (possibly GoG related) invested it a while back, eventually got a cease and desist order, but one one officially claimed definitive ownership.

That sounds like a legal maze and stalemate. All 3 are fun and enjoyable games to play, even to this date.

I still play them patched up to latest version because I have NOLF, NOLF 2 and CJ on retail hard copy.

Nope. They're extremely tightly woven together, I'd say.
No Man's Sky without hype would've been mediocre as all hell. No Man's Sky with the hype turned out to be the worst game released that year. We expect more and we get constantly let down. That affects our enjoyment a great deal in my opinion.

I think it'd be more like Fable. The games were super hyped and never quite delivered but they weren't bad games unlike Forever.

BHTrellis188: If you want a new Toe Jam & Earl you're actually in luck: http://store.steampowered.com/app/516110/ToeJam_and_Earl_Back_in_the_Groove/
For me, Jak and Daxter, but only if they went the Pixar / Ratchet & Clank route and kept it cartoony (the more realistic cancelled Jak game looked terrible).

WOW! I had no idea about that. Thanks. But ut seems a little late to be coming out in 2017 now. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
How did you not know that? Its been on the store for oh, so many months. And its never too late for this awesome franchise, that i personaly never got to play, but wish i had. You can forget about Golden Axe though, its dead along with Streets of Rage, Sonic and Total War is all Sega care for.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, maybe because I didn't think about the games again until last nght.
And Sonic isn't dead. They just released a new one not too long ago.
Comment has been collapsed.
But the moment you tought about them, you could have looked them up, just incase, i however found more than a year ago when i browsed all the upcoming games. Also you ignored a portion of my text. ''Sonic and Total War is all Sega care for''.

Not when you are talking to someone in another state while playing online BlazBlue ChronoPhantasma Extend at the same time. Thank GOD for phone headsets. :P
And when we were done, I was too tired to remember to search.
But I really do appreciate that you linked it. I am going to watch for this one. Thank you again.

YES! YES! YES! A THOUSAND TIMES YES!
Especially my friend who has played all of them.
I loved 8, though.
Comment has been collapsed.
I've played them all. 7 is the best one.
A few years ago Brenda Braithwait/Romero she married John Romero (writer and lead designer of Wizardry 8) tried a kickstarter campaign, but it didn't garner enough interest.
Still the only RPG I ever came across where NPCs aren't static. Basically, you're on a quest to find several "map pieces", but so are other NPCs. If you wait too long, you may enter a dungeon only to find someone else got there before you. Then you need to find out which NPC has it, and where that NPC is. Oh, but by the time you get there, the NPC may have moved, or have lost the map piece to someone else, or both.
And they're also looking to get the pieces you have!
Not to mention, IMO the best stats system I've ever come across. You get better by doing. Swim a block and your characters may get 1-2 skill points in swimming. Defend with a shield, and that character may get a skill point in shield defense. etc.
Also, as an FYI, you can grab a certain item in Wiz 6, which gives access to special weapons in Wiz 7 and a bonus in Wiz 8, if you export your characters from game to game.
For a real challenge, try beating the entire trilogy with a Fairy Ninja single-character party\

Ouch. How long did it take for you to even ROLL a fairy ninja? Weeks?

Oh DAMN! Thank YOU for that information! My RL friend is a HUGE fan of the series. Played and beat all of them. He will be immensely happy to hear this.

Yes, Warcraft does count. Warcraft was a strategy series. WoW is a craptastic MMO.
Comment has been collapsed.
Does craptastic mean crap or "way back it was fantastic, and now it's crap"? :D
I loved WoW during Burning Crusade, had a few people to play with so it was extra fun that way. But man it was amazing playing through all those zones. I tried it again around christmas of 2014 and it was still fun but it wasnt quite the same. But thats prolly cause of the people that I was playing with at that time...
WoW might be shit now (I dont know, I havent played it for years) but it definitely was a lot of fun at some point, and one of the best MMO-s ever. :)
I still miss this MMO, it was one of the first I ever played and it was a ton of fun though it obviously looks like shit now..

Have you seen Dreamfall: Chapters?
Continuation/Ending for The Longest Journey/Dreamfall.
I'd love to see the lore expanded, explaining a few more things... but it'd end up being either a prequel, or long-distance future. There's certainly a potentially unexplained aspect in the ending credits, which could be taken as a happy ending, or a world-saving ending.

The Longest Journey was the first I thought off. I haven't played the chapters (though the art looks stunning), but I felt lukewarm about Dreamfall. I prefer if they created more of an continuation of TLJ instead of Dreamfall. In a similar tone and spirit.
Dreamfall just didn't feel the same. To me it felt too much like a story which happened to take place in the same universe. It was also all the way throughout a little too grim. Or maybe the appropriate word is 'gloomy'. TLJ was not honey-coating things, which I appreciated, but at the same time, it did give you moments of feeling like you were accomplishing some amazing / magical things and explored and learned about characters, Arcadia and Stark. It had lighter and whimsical moments. It felt a bit more magical and heroic. TLJ started out more interesting as well, imo.
I also thought Dreamfall created too many answers and explained too little to leave me with a truly satisfying feeling at the end. With TLJ it still felt like a completed journey. And I felt that TLJ was a more cohesive story and had more solid characters as a whole.
Dreamfall was still a fine story, but I did feel disappointed as a whole, because of several different elements in the story and of the characters.
Oh well. Everyone is a critic ;)

There are probably more of them, but these are all I could come up with at the moment. There are definitely a TON of games I'd want a sequel for though.

i think the vampire the masquerade MMORPG comes out soon right? WOrld of Darkness?
Comment has been collapsed.
No. CCP neglected the game in favor of EVE Online. Thankfully they sold off White Wolf back in 2015 to a company that has since been busy to restore it to it's former glory. While Paradox (the new owner) did acquire the rights to the WOD MMO, they have gone back to the franchise's roots to revitalize the tabletop game that began it all... including plans to bring WOD to film and TV. However, they do have a video game in the works for Werewolf: The Apocalypse that sounds pretty exciting. XD

Ultima 8: pagan and ultima 9: assention were enough for me to NOT want a ultima 10. HOWEVER an Ultima Underworld 3 would be nice.

I've only ever played the first one to the end, when it was actually still called Hero's Quest before they had to change it (regret selling that copy, probably worth something now). I won the collection recently, I should try it again. I just remember having a major time of getting through QFG2 and never tried 3,4,5 because of it.

And I do NOT mean ones that are currently ongoing like
Final Fantasy
CoD
Battlefield
Elder Scrolls
Fallout
And others that pretty much a yearly release.
I got to thinking of this last night when talking t my RL friend on the phone (yes people still use the phone for other things than texting, internet and porn) and we were talking about older franchises we haven't seen a game from in a while.
We both agreed that we want to see
Serious Sam 4
A new Castlevania game
A new single player old school type of Phantasy Star
Skies of Arcadia, even though we know that one will never happen
And I was joking how I'd like to see the return of
Toejam and Earl
Gigawing
maybe a new Golden Axe game
So, anyone else have some franchises they would like to see make a comeback sometime?
And HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
