I mean like GOTY and Complete bundles that exist on Steam. Examples: Borderlands GOTY and Hoard Complete. Both have shown up on my giveaway list even though I own both. It's not a huge deal to just hide them, which is what I've been doing as complete games I already have show up for me, but I admit its thrown me for a loop a couple of times. If I click on the Steam page from the giveaway and it shows me that I already own it all, I feel like this should reflect on SG somehow as well.

Thoughts? Is this something that would be more complicated to implement than I am assuming?

This is caused by the Steam API, and I don't think anything can be done on SteamGifts side.

Well that seems like a downright logical explanation. I had a feeling there was a simple reason lol

I don't think it's possible for a 3rd party site to read your library's DLCs and stuff...

I'm pretty sure SG has hidden DLC in the past

Most DLCs aren't shown through the API. SG can auto hide DLCs for games you don't own but that is completely different.

Huh. You know, you're probably right. I only just hid the Xmas soundtrack for Payday 2 yesterday, despite having owned it for a while. Your explanation certainly makes sense as to why that was showing up anyway.

I thought that at first too, but it isn't hard to manually hide them so i'm ok if they don't get around to fixing it soon. I think it might be a little hard to implement all the games on steam because of all the bundles and such there are on steam. Don't take my word on it though!

-shrug- I've gotten in the habit of re-syncing my steam account with SG any time I get a bundle. They seem to keep up quite well with newer games from what I've seen
