I can't remove someone from the list though. (i.e. you.)

Edit: Nevermind.

That could be useful eventually, since there have been some serious shitposting on the forum recently and blacklisting is not something I want/have to do to resolve the issue (I don't have anything against people who shitpost, I just prefer not to see useless crap when I browse).

I won't use it now, but eventually, who knows. :P

Hi, I like the idea but I would rather the script really hide the whole posts from shitposters and not just the content. When I want to hide shitposters I want to forget about them and it means completely hide their posts - it means even with their name, date and replies to it. IMHO hiding just the content doesn't solve anything.

+1. Just not seeing the pictures would be enough (I don't think anyone pays attention to the names or dates, doesn't see them already), on the main discussions page too.

With the date and name I meant just the whole post. In the current state, it is not hiding posts of shitposters but only censorship of the content. I want completely forget about the existence of the shitposters. Like I can do it on Facebook.

It looked weird. xD. (Also it was the line 1390, I think a typo.)

Well, the reason for I'm asking for it is that I had some bad experiences with some people and I don't like to remember them because everytime I do I feel bad and this disturbs me.

Still can see them on the main discussion page as last posters though.

It's already like that. (Also it's line 1349!)

Also if r is 255, doesn't it become red?

tested it today, the problem is with sg++

as soon as there's a thread marked with new comments, the "hide thread" button disappears

Cool! :o Well, there's at least 1 person that pops up from time to time who I would like to press that button on. But besides that, I'm a curious cat bunny. So for now I won't use this script. :)

Also, wow! I'm everywhere in the first gif. LOL!

couple of shitposters I would love to see removed from my sightline - but like Millie I am too curious about peoples habits to actually use it :P - and some times it's funny to time the hammer fall (Hammer-time) :P - also, we all have bad days :)

Very useful script. The main thing I'm missing is an option to ignore a discussion while reading it (a /discussion URL). It seems it's only possible to do it from the discussions list (the forum itself or /discussions).

Hah. Was literally just thinking to myself how I wish there was a way to totally hide threads from the overview and lo and behold. It gets so cluttered with nonsense sometimes it's just crazy, it'll be nice getting a better look at when threads I'm actually interested in are bumped. Looks like it's working fast and smoothly too, grand job.

Can't say much for the ignore, there should definitely be an option to half ignore or full ignore. Still being able to see when someone I've ignored is commenting would tease at my curiosity too much. What'll basically happen is something along the lines of "ugh some idiot I've blocked, I wonder what stupid thing they're saying now... unblock hfff... guh... nggh, I knew it'd be stupid. block" I might as well just cut out the middle-man and not block them basically.

Yeah the problem of having people reply to a nonexisting comment occurred to me too, would definitely look a bit silly.

Just to confirm, the hiding giveaways thing, that's unique in that it only hides the current giveaway, not other giveaways for that game or other giveaways from that user?

That's awesome. Getting clogged sometimes with group/whitelist giveaways from people who are very strict about the game being played within the next week etc so it'd be nice to clean them up. Although the options seem to be there by default, I haven't toggled anything from the menu.

Doesn't seem to change anything. Could be just behaving strangely due to inadvertently interacting with other scripts, I've a few running. It's not like it's a problem anyway, they're features I want to use anyway, just thought I'd mention it.

Is there a way for you to incorporate some compatibility with the infinite scrolling feature from the Extended SteamGifts script? As you can see below I can ignore the first few GA's but not anything beyond that page.

Just be careful of where do you get scripts, dont install them like crazy and you will be fine

Hmm, quite annoying. When a blocked user changes their name, the script no longer works. I guess it wouldn't be possible for the script to detect changes and update accordingly, right? Maybe with the help of Revilheart's script (which detects changes to usernames)?

I think spammers are changing their names to try and avoid being "spotted" easily by people who don't want to see their threads. :P
