I just slowly build it up in between Seasonal Steam Sales. Sell my cards/booster packs, and usually make a small pile of change selling off TF2 items. Making $0.06-0.08 an item doesn't seem like much, but it adds up over the months and means that much less you have to spend out of pocket.

Got around 100 dollars trading on wallet... around 45 steam levels and my inventory has even gone large by 500 cards.
however steam may kill it if it keeps the booster crafting around after the sale.. =(

trade chats... People that are looking for your card sometimes are willing to pay more than it is worth.
People without acess to steam market will overpay for items.
Closed sets may be traded for slighly higher value than it is really worth.
Craft your sets only on holiday sales.. (you get event cards that you can sell)
And so on... now you know my secret

what seriously? where? I mean.. all the information we had was that gems could keep being used to craft booster when auction ends... so i Still have the hope that the gem crafting ends with the sale. do you have any information that says it is staying?
