I can idle just fine, but when i want to idle a family members account, it stays on the main account.
I tried clearing the idlemaster folder in c:\users\ and even redownloaded and replaced the idlemaster folder itself, but it continues to just idle the account you started with, like it takes info from a browser?

Anyone got any ideas? And no i don't wanna use ASF.

The only other option is using IdleDaddy on mobile. IdleMaster is simply abandoned and you won't do much with it. Or idle the game by hand overnight

It are over 150 cards, you don't do that overnight.

Never tried it, maybe if there is no other solution to fix idlemaster.

(Idlemaster extended, i confirm it still works... on admin mode !)

Did you kill the process in task manager ?

  • edit 1
Ah sorry then i don't know, i would just tried to kill the process and restart the computer. Maybe clean with bleachbit if you think there are remaining browser files ? (bleachbit is opensource and can clean all your browsers)

  • edit 2
1.7 is still running probably, maybe a process that runs in the background ? Once i thought it was closed because i had killed one process but another process was still running (there are multiple not just 1)

if Im not wrong, idlemaster needs you to open the acount on the steam application, and its from there where its login the account.

Does not work, if i am logged in with another account on steam, and open idlemaster it still tries to idle the main (mine).

Out of curiosity, why don't you want to use ASF?

Did you get it to work? I was just planning on doing the same thing.

It works, but just for the first account you idle for. For the rest i don't know how to fix the problem.
And i know my share of computer stuff.

I have the same issue - go to Idlemaster settings - there you will see on bottom-left corner a Lock icon.

in there you will have to write "sessionId" and "steamLoginSecure" parameters.

you can get them from browser where you are logged into steam website (with your required account).

another thing is you can try cleaning everything in MS Edge/Internet Explorer (yes, IM uses those), but i now prefer to just change the 2 parameters i mentioned before

and yeah - i also use IdleDaddy on phone - it is also a nice thing sometimes when I don't want to launch IM on PC hehe :)

Happy card farming :D

bear in mind after X days if you click Login button it will repeat the same situation of logging in as your first account :/

Cheers, well there is a fast mode on idlemaster, whole full day and most cards are already idled. ;)
The other accounts don't grow that fast, i was just finally cleaning up my key list, with them becoming dupes i wanted to get rid of everything.

ASF is complicated to set up, but a lot more complex as a tool. I'm glad you got it solved. 👍🏻 I started with IdleMaster, ended with ASF, not sure I'll ever go back, because it offers a lot more versatility and control, which I'm a personal fan of. I can understand why it may not be for everybody.

To counterargument, I have 0 need to do anything ASF offers me that Idlemaster does not. I still use ASF, mostly for privacy reasons vs Idledaddy, but it is a pain to set up for not that much gain

I've had no issue setting up. I'm a techy person and I'm happy to learn new things to play around. Again, it's not for everybody. It's like comparing Android with iPhone. Some people like iPhone's for their simplicity. Others like Android for their versatility, but comes with it's complications, performance issues at times. I know it's a weird analogy, but yeah.

I can't say I farm different than you or anyone else the cards. Both tools do pretty much the same thing, but the advantage is that I can mask all the games I play & farm. It's easier to just add you're doing something and second, I can farm games I've played in the past, that I purchased for Steam, so I can basically show I've played that game before.
