This is my first seasonal sale, so in one way I feel lucky to go into it not knowing what to expect. Of course it might mean I've missed out on great sales in the past, but at least I'm not disappointed by how it compares to any other seasonal sales :P Ignorance is bliss!
Though I am very sorry to have missed out on the time before region locks :(

It's not terrible, though quite a few deals doesn't even reach their usual levels. Plus this "daily deal, except it's not lol" practice is just plain stupid. But I've still already got Hitman Contracts,Left 4 Dead, Outcast 1.1, Despair and will probably get something like Spaceforge one... or dunno, steam's search engine is stupid during sales. I'll edit if I find it out :D

This is GOG's best sale ever, with many titles going down to 80% off.

I was waiting for a nice deal on Bioshock infinite + season pass... but:
Historical Lowest Price: 12,49€ at Steam on Thu Mar 19 2015 well whatever
I wanted to buy the minerva dlc for bioshock 2 but I guess I'll skip that too.

Skip Bioshock infinite at all for ever, it is a terrible FPS game mechanically.
Comment has been collapsed.
Is one of the worst FPS games mechanically in a long time. If you can not realize that you have to play more games. Is the samer case as Spec Ops the line, game is generic as it gets but people say is a great game because of the story, sorry but if your game is not a Visual novel or point & click, then that is not enough.

Yes, i have problems understanding games. Your arguments are rock solid. Play some more games please, not for me, for you.

Yeah but the Shadowrun games still say "offer ends on June 22"

what if i tell you, in poland you could buy preorder for like 14 euro (60PLN) in box :))
well, great times
@edit
i checked, and its now for like 16euro (65pln) :D:
well, still great times :D:

It's pretty bad. I suppose they aren't discounting it as much now that they've announced that owners of this version will receive a free upgrade to the enhanced edition. I guess you can view it as 133% discount. :p
But yeah, I won't be buying it now. Skipped Wasteland 2 as well because GOG offers a 60% discount to Steam's 50%.
Also, DOA5 went from a 60% discount to 50% now. Argh.
Comment has been collapsed.
yeah, but Wasteland 2 will also offer their new version free to current owners, and they still offered us -50%. And that game came out a few months after Divinity.
They could have at least offered us -40%, since they did that discount in the past.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not only that... Wasteland 2 has its full retail price lowered compared to 6 months ago.
While it was the same -50% that it had in Winter Sale, it was at its lowest historical steam price.
I'm all for wanting the best possible deals too, but at least nobody can accuse inXile from pulling shitty stunts like Rockstar, that up the price before the discount... these guys did the opposite.
Comment has been collapsed.
Really ? I thought Wasteland was 40€ when it was released
Comment has been collapsed.
well -33% to 2x copies + bonus old divinity games is pretty ok.
And actually the game is good enough to buy it at full price, so don't be sad and go buy it 4 u and 1 friend =)))
Btw it is sad but there are indeed quite a lot of weird and disappointing discounts this time =( have hope for the last day :D
Comment has been collapsed.
I know ;_;
Well, I still decided to grab Wasteland 2, but I won't get this one.
The thing that really pisses me off if that they don't even give us the discout they gave in the past (-40%).

I did it again.
Got Divinity 17.50€ from a trader.
There's a free DLC called The Bear & The Burglar. Does that mean I'm the burglar ?
Comment has been collapsed.
I would have, if it wasn't for these free GOTY/Enhanced edition.
SNEAKY CAPITALISTS, THEY TRICKED ME.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, I thought you meant Divinity. The copy I got is an old one from the Russian store when they were still ROW, so I would have been surprised that you would have got it for 5 keys.
Yeah I checked trades before getting Wasteland 2 but I was looking for PayPal only, found one guy selling it $15 but it was 1 hour before the sale ended and the guy wasn't online so I didn't take any chances and bought it from the store.

About Kickstarter, if I knew I would end up buying Wasteland for 20€, I would have paid $20 for The Bard's Tale Kickstarter and got Wasteland 2 + a copy of The Bard's Tale when it comes out

btw, if you want more sadness & jealousy, they are presenting the Enhanced Edition in a few minutes : http://www.twitch.tv/twitch

I know, but Wasteland 2 is also getting a new version and they still offered us a 50% discount (and the game came out few months after Divinity).
They could have at least put a 40% discount, since they have offered that disount before. That's really the part that annoys me the most.
Comment has been collapsed.
They've planned to add a huge update with content, so that's why. http://www.pcgamer.com/divinity-original-sin-enhanced-edition-announced/

I know about this, but they have offered 40% off in a previous sale, they could have done the same here.
And Wasteland 2 is getting a similar upgrade , and yet they offered us a 50% discount.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well it has already been 40% off in a previous sale, so it should at least have been 40% off.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well CS GO has been 90% off in the past, yet this Daily Deal was 50% off. Let's face it, this Summer Sale has not been like the past sales. I've seen a lot of "Daily Deals" that are the same deal as they were the day before, but now on the front page. Either the devs are not as generous or steam is not. Maybe both :D.
I just hope they put Walking Dead Season 2 on 75% off, because that's the only game I'm interested in right now and can afford XD.

WAAAAAH. I WANT DIS GAEM BECUZ I WANT TO PLAY IT BUT I WANT IT CHEAPER BECUZ I'M STUPID ENTITLED PARODY OF A PERSON. WAAAH. ARE YOU KIDDING MEEH?!!! ONLY LOW DISCOUNT ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEE???
Go fuck yourself, seriously. I don't even mind getting suspended for this. Just go fuck yourself.

You're a retard.
I wouldn't complain if the game didn't get a bigger discount before. But it did, so yes I expected it to get at least the same discount.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well this is my first summer sale, and the way people were talking about it I thought it was a magical time of the year when games get their biggest discounts. So yes, maybe I was expecting too much from it.

You know what, we are spoiled. And any company that is not offering a deal as good as the companies that spoil us is automatically at a disadvantage. And see, here is the thing about being a consumer, our "job" is to reward the companies that spoil us, that give us the better deal. Going for the worse deal, now that's stupid.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well that's debatable. It may or may not be a mistake. Popular games don't need to make big discounts in order to profit - it's all about demand. And it looks like there is demand if someone is crying on the internet over this. I definitely don't think Activision has any problems their overpriced games from Call of Duty series. They are still very able to sell 5-6 years old game for 20€ with or without -50% discount so it doesn't necessarily means a disadvantage. We propably won't know. Publisher and it's financial department will know. But that doesn't matter for me or you. If you want the game, you will buy it for price you will feel comfortable about. But bitching over it hysterically? That makes OP very punchable.
Comment has been collapsed.
To make it clear, my complaint isn't about the price in itself. I know this is a great game that is well worth its price, even without a discount.
But this game was discounted 40% a few months ago, and I thought : "it's a good deal, but I've been patient and I can still be patient until the summer sale to get a better deal", because I thought the summer sale was the time of the year when you can score the best deals.
And now that it's here, I realise that I waited not for a better discount, but a worst one. I would have been fine with the same discount as before, but a smaller one, really ?
So either I didn't understand what the summer sale is about, or the devs are fooling people who are not aware of previous discounts into thinking that they scored a great deal when they could obviously have offered a better one.

If Ori and the Blind Forest goes on a -60% or greater discount, i'll be at least content. :P
Not the best sale thus far, but already some bargains and still a full week to go, so can't complain... yet.
I'm more annoyed at the buggy / annoying / grind mini-game, it was a stupid thing to come up with and the added unlocked discounts, apart from 1-2... now those were a joke (not to mention some of them for really crappy games). Miles away from the community voted discounts from last year's summer sale... again, thus far.

+1. If only it would be a really simple dungeon crawler. Or kind of ANYTHING but an idle game / clickfest. It sounded so good to work "together" with your friends, and insteaf we got the highest level of co-op: join the same game, then idle. Together. yay.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't get me started on the milestone that required 1,000,000,000,000 clicks or whatever the hell it was that we didn't get.
It was a turn-based J-RPG, so i was hoping (not much, like 1% hoping :P) that it would be a Final Fantasy at less than 50%... or something like that. :(
Crappy that they didn't even show what game it was. Bah.
But hey, got This War of Mine at -60%, its not the world's best discount, but the game is pretty fresh (not to mention with 96% positive reviews) and has a not that high full retail price, so i'm more than ok with what i paid.
Like i said, if i could get Ori for around the same, i'd still count my blessings. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Are you planning on getting it when it comes out ? If yes, you might as well pick up the game now, as all current owners will get the enhanced edition for free when it comes out.

Seriously, is this a joke ? The game went from 25% to 33%, that's the deal ?
Come on, it's even been -40% before. I was expecting -50%, like Wasteland 2.
