"I'm sitting here in the boring room" - as said one of my favourite songs. Yeah, so I'm an IT guy which have a lot of free time, seriously I can sit around doing nothing for a week cause nothing is happening (at least until something will go terribly wrong). And to my surprise I am bored of... being bored. At first it was amazing, I was payed for doing nothing most of the time but now it's simply tiring. That is why I am looking for a new job where I can actually do something. But enough about me, how is your job? Do you have a lot of free time like me or maybe you don't have time even to eat anything? And how about people who don't work yet? You think you would like to be payed for nothing or you have to do anything to survive?

I used to have quite a bit of free time when my PC was busy creating testbuilds for games & apps (Unity was blocked and didn't allow me to do anything else while creating builds). This isn't the case after we created a build pipeline which allows me to let our servers do the annoying part so I can continue working in the meantime. Right now I wish I had some spare time at work but it's more like a hydra: after finishing one task I'm getting assigned to two new ones. :D
Thanks for the GAs!

I don't work in an office so most poll answers don't apply to me at all.
Normally if you get 'bored' at work you find a way to make yourself useful, like in our case go clean something or do other small chores you might normally don't have time for or like some do take a small smoke break before work get busy again and we need you on the floor.

Another song! :P

"Well I've been here before
I've sat on the floor
In a gray gray room
Where I stay in all day
I don't eat but I play
With this gray gray food

I'm all alone again
Crawling back home again
Just stuck by the phone again"

I walk all day at work, I do the work of three people because a few people left and the pay is too low so we can't get new people.
I have sore legs today, I hope my knees survive another day before the weekend comes to my rescue.

Stanley was sitting there in a boring room.

He had been at his desk for nearly an hour when he realized that not one single order had arrived on the monitor for him to follow.
No one had shown up to give him instructions, call a meeting, or even say 'hi.' Never in all his years at the company had this happened, this complete isolation.

Then he made a GA.
And he heard a voice in his mind sayin' " thanks, Stanley. You're great".
Suddenly, all started to make sense.

Currently, I'm working on a game project at home and I have an eleven months child so I don't have much time to get bored. The good thing is that every day, there is something new.

Have you considered finding ways to use your free time at work? Playing games, watching movies, learning a language, studying something else that interests you, there's an infinity of ways to use your free time. If I was getting paid to do nothing, there are way too many ways in which I could fill that time productively. :)

Well unfortunately there are many things I simply can't do at work, like watching movies/anime or playing games on PC and I don't like playing mobile games on phone (I hate gatcha games xd). The biggest problem is my boss who sits right behind me. I am sure if I would start watching some movie he would simply ask what I'm watching but itstill is kinda weird to do it

Hah, that does sound uncomfortable! I guess it would have to be something more productive, like studying a language. :)

First of all, do what you want to do.
It is more happy than to regret not doing.

Once upon a time, I slept for 4 hours and worked from 8 in the morning until 23 o'clock in the evening, then after playing games, I was eating food and sleeping.
At that time, there were families and children.
Because I was fulfilling for my family's happiness, I did not feel tired.
At a certain time my wife used my savings and used it for a large amount of weight loss. The next day I questioned, my wife returned home.
Meanwhile, I will go to business on a business trip away and come back.
It was summoned from the court.
After that, I did not have a salvation.
Betrayal and lies of others have kept distance of relationship.

What remained there was human dolls.
It was a green creature wearing it.
Then there is no old age, there seems to be a blank in the Internet that keeps listening to the consciousness of the game and the net and the unchanged game.
Hahaha. I should have been joking.
Well, I wrote a true story.

Unchanging, peaceful and safe days.
Unchanged, poverty and hungry days.
Unchanged, nothing changed.
It is the world that it is reality.

But, after myself did the right thing. It is easy.

Well the main point.
Setting goals is also a good thing.
And the goal is to prepare "short-term things that can be done easily" and "long-term difficult things".
Perhaps the most painful thing in the world is "I do not do it perfectly."
Let's replenish the goal you have achieved soon.
Blank time erodes the heart and body. It may also cause the other party's feelings to be badly received. Not good.

Thanks for the offer of Giveaways.

But seriously, when I worked for a game company, we set things up so people like IT and the receptionist could help test our games when they had free time. Failing that, maybe you could use the time to learn a new skill on something like Lynda.com
