I wonder if this year we get it in a bundle

The sales have probably slowed down for a bit for the to drop the price that much. TBH there's really no need for them to put it in a bundle as they could just sell it no problem at this price from time to time. I could possibly see it going into a high priced Fanatical Prestige Bundle for $12 a piece.

WB already made 1B+ on it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogwarts_Legacy

Most people who really want it probably already have it.

It has more than 3000 recent reviews, that's maybe 100k sales in the last month which is not half bad for a game approaching 3 years old. Not nearly as good as RDR2 for example with its 10k reviews as a 6 year old game, but still, there are always a lot of potential customers who haven't bought the game yet.

WB Games always offers discounts, regardless of whether the game is a hit or not. If you wait a couple of months, you can always get the game at a great discount on official third-party retailers.

Of course they always offer discounts. Were talking about this specific discount though, which is a historical low. It took almost 2.5 years before the game dropped lower than 60% off. It didn't hit even hit 80% off until the middle of last month. Even the grey market didn't hit 80% off until about 2.5 years after launch.

It's published by WB though. Every single WB game, other than Mortal Kombat 1, has found its ways into a Humble Bundle.

Of course. I'm not sure what your point is though, I never said it wouldn't be.

You said there’s “no need for them to put it in a bundle.” But “need” has never factored into WB’s decisions. They’ve bundled profitable titles before; this one won’t be any different.

I was referring to this year specifically, which is what the OP asked. Of course it will more than likely be in a bundle eventually.

Humble Choice headliners go for $8-10 lately so this is actually a good price to buy directly on Steam.

It doesn't add much content, just things that make the start a little faster. The mount is nice but does nothing. If you like the series, buy it.

For $1.50, I'd buy it. I'm sure the game will have better discounts in the future.

Something to keep in mind is the bundles. They include the deluxe editions, so if they release more games in the future or you're interested in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, you'll save a bit on the deluxe edition.

Good price, many hours, awesome castle, fun combat (imo) and overstretched open world. I didn't regret the preorder, and I think it's a good purchase for this price, especially if you are a fan of the world, and/or want many hours for your money.

same. gf and i got it that first January and finished it mid-Feb. Couldn't take our eyes off of it. Haven't played it since though tbf. Do not hate the limited DLC model they went with. Sales figures seem to agree with the sentiment.

Took the plunge yesterday on this. Price good enough to be worth a go (for me). Just went for the base game; Deluxe content appears to be very poorly received.

Game was dissapointing for me - if the world was half its size and had collectibles slashed by 2/3 it would be much better and more streamlined experience. But it was my mistake for doing all that unnecessary stuff so I can't complain that much - it was my mistake for treating a game like some AC collectathon. Combat also became stale and boring after a while so making game a shorter experience would alleviate that part too.

Kinda tempted to explore Hogwarts but tbh I don't wanna fund JKR's favorite hate group.
I still gotta play The Witcher 3 anyhow, and it's not like there aren't plenty of incredible games on Steam I've yet to pick up. (Silksong, Expedition 33, Red Dead redemption 2, Dreamlight Valley, etc.)

I doubt I'm missing out.

JKR shat on things for sure (she is a garbage person imho), but while WB are no saints, alot of decent folks worked on the game. It's like the films. I watch them because they are great, and yes she profits from it, but so many people put alot into those movies that are not garbage people. it does suck when someone who creates something that is beloved decides to shoot their mouths off on dumb stuff to sour the whole thing. I own a Tesla from 2016... We like it but had to put a bumper sticker on it to say it is not an endorsement for Elon...He didnt add one panel or turn one screw on the car, but a whole bunch of other people did, and I like to think most of them are good people.

Witcher 3 is epic. RDR2 is also epic. Well worth a hundred or two hours of your time. Hogwarts isn't as sweeping as those are, but it is quite good.

Less of that and more like I have a moral line, it's grey, but if I'm aware there is an issue with a product, even if it's good, I probably won't buy it. (I like Harry potter - > I'm interested in the game -> JKR announces all income goes to a hate group relating to people I know and am friends with -> I'm no longer interested in purchasing that product, and I'll get it in another way if at all. Like buying the book series from Goodwill, a second hand store, where the profit would not go to such a hateful thing.)

FIY for anyone whos wondering, tried to find whats going on - https://jkrwf.org/ - this supposedly is the "hate group" and the whole thing is being puished forward by BuzzFeed... You should really question your life choices if you base your opinion based on one of the most unreliable and biased news sites .. getting offended by everything is probably special power of buzzfeeds readers.

Just wanted to share for people not to just jump on hatewagon for some witchhunt perpetrated by buzzfeed. Youd be better off reading onion

https://www.advocate.com/news/jk-rowling-anti-trans-organization

Rowling donated £70,000 (roughly $88,200) to the anti-trans group For Women Scotland in 2024 after it lost its challenge to a 2018 Scottish law that legally recognized trans women as women. The group appealed its case to the U.K. Supreme Court, which ruled last month that trans women aren’t considered women under the nation’s Equality Act.

Gee, why would a person like her openly fund organizations that take rights away from people? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

You might actually want to read the fund's own website before defending it? The JKR Women's Fund isn't just being "pushed forward" by buzzfeed, it's literally a private legal fund for women "protecting their sex-based rights" which is literally on the website. It's run completely by JKR's money, and it funds legal cases that challenges things like transgender inclusion in workplaces and single sex spaces; again, this is all in their website under "what we fund" and "about the fund."

JKR is extremely vocal and has direct links to these transphobic groups/charities.

For Women Scotland:
£70,000 to FWS’s crowdfunding for its legal challenge over the definition of “woman” in Scotland.

Beira's Place:
A women-only sexual violence support service that explicitly excludes Transgender women from accessing any of it's services, funded and made by JKR.

I'd appreciate if you spent more than thirty seconds and clicking on the first link on google before making a statement on something you don't know anything about.

+1. Unfortunately JKR ruined Harry Potter for us. Unless I know specifically that she is not getting any money, I cannot in good conscience purchase it. I will always support the cast that is against her extremism ideals in other movies/games. Most are good people.

It is not fair for the people who worked on this game, but extremism does more damage to more people (and the repercussions can last decades to reverse), than the good it would do if I were to support the artists. It is a compromise, between not supporting a billionaire radicalist vs the artists that can be supported in other ways.

Plus this has Denuvo, so that is off my list from the start without even accounting for the above.

You can still enjoy the world she made, and not support it. You have to agree though, that it once inspired millions of people, and many of those went on to write their own stories or become published authors themselves. Any kid can still enjoy them, and there are plenty of copies to be found in second hand stores or borrowed from libraries, so that they can still be enjoyed as a fantasy novel without funding JKR's transphobia.

I swear i will never buy WB game at lower discount than 85% again regardless of the quality of the game. I bought Howard Legacy at -15% and more than 1 year later this is how low it gets, just like every WB game ever. Game from this brand just never hold its value for more than 2 years lol.
