Mine: https://s.team/y22/fhvfdpc?l=english - I mainly played many games on Game Pass this year so yeah, this looks skewed but Forza Horizon 4 (and now 5) are my jam!

Yeah, kind of a trend with PS and Xbox. Now with steam!

Ha, Dead by Daylight! I tried it once but PVP is not my thing. Still, it was a good experience.

I think roughly 99% of my Steam time in 2022 is unaccounted for on the list (because RPG Maker is, reasonably, counted as a tool instead of a game). Disco Elysium and Shadow Fate being my top two Steam games for the year feels right, although I played a few singleplayer games on Game Pass and a handful of multiplayer games on PS4 that would've probably replaced the rest of the top five. '22 definitely did not feel like the year of Final Fantasy 13 to me. :D

Yeah, already paid for Game Pass so might as well play the "latest" games there without buying. I do buy long games on Steam though as IDK when I'll play them!

Hmm, 66% of time spend on single idle game... Not to mention the two others ;D

That's... quite specific! Which idle game?

Idle Champions

Looks kind of interesting! May try as it's basically an idle game and I love D&D-based games!

I warn you not to... So many hours wasted.

Also the HB bundle still on going is not good value.

Haha, an idle game should not take much time, right? Right?!

Apparently, 37% of the games I played were released this year... somehow. Despite not buying anything for years.

The only way that statistic makes any sense is if it counts all the Demos I tried out during the Demo Fest thing... Kiiinda dumb... <.<

That's just what I was thinking too! I guess some of my wins I played from various bundles might have been from 2022 but there's no way they account for 50% of my games played.
And yet it seems to be counting demos separately in other stats.

yes, I think it counts demos because there is no way I played this many games on Steam, especially those released this year!

Well this is interesting, apparenly I played Fallout 4 361 times between March and September and somehow had time to fit in 100 sessions of both CK3 and Stellaris while according to the spider graph mainly playing space games.and colony sims.

Perhaps there's someone living in my spare room I don't know about.

I thought I played a lot of good games but when I look back and pick out favorites... that's only 8 games out of 79 completed.
I'll try better next year?

Next year, my plan is to complete several 100 hours RPGs... Let's see if I get the time!

You can do that so easily by just playing ESO; My time in Portia/Sandrock, Dragons Dogma, heck, even Skyrim. You can do it!

I was thinking more of RDR2, Pillars of Eternity, Disco Elysium, Fallout 76 (OK, ongoing), multiple Assassins Creed games, and probably more.
We'll see.
ESO does not work for me since I prefer sneaky archer and it's not fun in it.
Dragons Dogma, I'd like to try sooner rather than later.
Skyrim, it's kind of ongoing thingy ;)

Is there a way to get it to show which games you played were released this year? It's telling me 2%, but I can't remember what game that'd be.

Is there any reward or something for playing Dead by Daylight?

Permalink

there was an alienware group event with rewards for total community playtime. i'd usually start mine up and leave it running while i slept. the event made it through maybe half the reward milestones.

I was just looking at my review again and paying a bit more attention this time and noticed a couple of conspicuous holes, as in the info is there but there's no image or title, and then I saw a screenshot being featured and understood what's happening. Steam is aparently incapable of properly showing games that are no longer in the store, so old games that are no longer being sold (in this case Duke Nukem Manhattan Project) just break the otherwise neatly presented year in review presentation.

That's bad. If the store page exists, then it should show. I they may improve this next year

In the case of this specific title the store page no longer exists, when the Duke Nukem franchise got partially pulled out from Steam by the publisher years ago due to an exclusivity deal with Zoom the corresponding store pages got deleted, the community hubs are still there tho.
What I was pointing out is that Valve didn't account for what to do when someone spent a bunch of hours playing an old removed game, there's no fail safe so the year on review can pull at least the title from someplace other than the store page.

Here's mine. I'm actually surprised I played that many games, because I don't even remember a fraction of them. I'm guessing most were demos that were put down after less than half an hour.

I'll try to complete more of my backlog, next year. Maybe that can be a resolution for the new year!

Yay, my resolution is the same as every year, that I finish Skyrim without a sneaky archer build but, alas!
