Can't you get it on Steam through a "secret" url? Just like Codename: Gordon.
EDIT: (I honestly need to read the entire thread before posting ...)

Spacewar. Play it.
Click "install" button here: https://steamdb.info/app/480/

The publisher thing must be a bug. It's the original Steam app, made by Valve for devs to test Steamworks integration.
You CAN delete his stupid comment btw.

You should add the download link to your comment so he sees it clear as day. ; D

That's because you were playing a pirated game, and it had the cracked steamapi.dll in the games folder, which makes the Steam client report you're playing Spacewar.

It used to have a page on Steam. The community hub has been removed, because there is a hack to let you play pirated games on Steam with the Spacewar game. Many people were using the community hub forum to discuss their pirated game playing.

Honestly, I read the 'third world country' part and... Cringed. I mean, really? Are we not past those jokes? People gotta start thinking fresh. Like Subway fresh.

Although irrelevant, I feel as though certain things just shouldn't be. I'm not going to give examples so as to start a big discussion or argument but the comment just screams "I'm ignorant and I hate everything and everyone that isn't me!"

Also, yeah, the way he tried to imply something primitive is unplayable and that even if you do play it, it doesn't count because no one in their right mind would play said game.

Steam reviews are quite a mess.
If you try to give a thoughtful one people complain or ignore, but if you just make a "joke" one they like it.

From my experience, that review is actually very accurate.

That person is throwing out anyone who would consider to play it would be stupid.I guess he is the expert on what is fun and what is not fun in video games.Next time i want to know how fun a game is i shall ask the master of FUN.
I had a friend like that, only only difference is his opinion was the only one that matter, and if you did not agree with him you where stupid and so on.He removed me from his friends list after a few words where exchanged.
Anyhow that is the grand thing about the internet, you run into people like that, sadly a lot people show there true colors online, and he seems like a real winner IRL.
Read his profile and it made LOL
I used to play tons of games online with other people, We had lots of FUN, then something happened (Microsoft ruined the gaming industry
Now sure how Microsoft ruined gaming as a whole, though i will say they have ruined some games after buying them, and windows live was a mess and then some. Not sure how you can blame them for everything lol.He seems the type to blame everyone but himself for all his life problems.

Unfortunately, subjectivity doesn't exist in online discussion / arguments. Telling people how it is your opinion is suicide because remember, you HAVE to state facts even though 99% of the stuff people say are pretty much opinions!
Oh, also, NEVER use the 'if at least one person thinks this way, chances are another person does as well'. People go batshit crazy even though it's pretty sound and logical.

Well if that is how they get joy out of life is by getting so easily offended by what someone says more power to them.
The internet is not a place to be taken serious when it comes to opinions and ideas,as the saying goes, opinions are like assholes everyone has one.
I shared what i thought about his post and attitude nothing more, but i still stand by what i say that on the internet you truly find out what people are like as they tend to be more open as it is more Anonymity so they tend to do and say things they may not normally do offline.
Just the same as someone who is drunk tends to do and say things they usually do not because there judgement is impaired in this case, and instead saying wait is that the right thing to say or do,most of the time you just do it.
Anyhow i was just sharing how i felt on how the person was being,i am not here to walk on egg shells and be best friends with everyone on the internet, they will either like me or not,and that is fine i will do the same i do know i risk blacklist for things i may say but eh.
Unfortunately, subjectivity doesn't exist in online discussion / arguments. Telling people how it is your opinion is suicide
That applies online or offline not sure how that would only apply online...an opinion is the same online or not, fact or fiction someone can still claim to not be wrong even if presented with facts...as i said i shared what i thought about what he said,i was not trying to prove him or anyone wrong either.

I don't understand... Are you, like, offended by what I said? I was just commenting when you only had the first paragraph. I fail to see how I could have offended you, if I did.
Comment has been collapsed.
No you did not i was just replying was all, just sharing my thoughts,i was also bored and needed to kill some time
I do not get offended online, that is just silly after all it just words.

That made me laugh. Every video game prior to the Colecovision is garbage... yet it had many ports of arcade machines made years before it.

I'm saddened to learn that many games I enjoyed in my childhood were not actually fun.
If only I had known back then that they didn't meet the fun standard, maybe I wouldn't have enjoyed them so much. :P

Did you see that person's profile comment section? What a fucking butthurt scumbag.

I dunno. Wanting to play Dota2 with a gamepad seems reasonable to me. As does asking people to turn a game from one genre (Western RPG) into another (hack & slash action) just because you don't like menus.
if you're living in a different reality than ours, where people will actually completely redesign everything just because you don't like it

So, if you talk about World War I without having actually been there in person, you are just a kid who tries to look cool after reading Wikipedia.
I should take note of this.

I know I played games on a Commodore VIC-20 before the release of Colecovision. I hadn't previously realised that was beyond the cut-off point for fun. Although by the looks of it that guy isn't really any kind of an expert on fun...
Comment has been collapsed.
Spacewar's pretty cool. And I happen to live in a 3rd-world country. So, all in all, I don't think I like that commenter very much :p
Comment has been collapsed.
So... just because history falls outside of his frame of reference it's invalid ?
I guess the Nazis were tame compared to ISIS as they didn't spread videos of hostages being burned to death over the Internet, so as FACT they didn't spread world-wide fear as effectively ?
You could also hit him over the head with by saying that Breakout (1976), Pacman (1980), Donkey Kong (1981), Berzerk (1980), Galaga (1981), Space Invaders (1978), Asteroids (1979), Colossal Cave (1976), Zork (1979) and the like all predate the Colecovision (1982).
But of course several thousands of people must've been completely insane to label those as all-time classics, because they are factually "unplayable by any standard of 'fun' " and "low quality".
I wonder what would happen if this guy was born a decade later. Would anything before the PS1 have been unplayable ?
Comment has been collapsed.
Hide and seek is so unplayable, you can not only play it without any glitches of people disappearing suddenly after the count, you would actually be stupid if you DID try to play something that is claimed to be a child's classics of a game. My best guess is for you to someday hope and be out of your third-world country and play a real game from a real gaming company like EA!
Comment has been collapsed.
I could totally tear that child apart if you want!

I hate people with that "My opinion is a FACT" attitude. It's incredibly annoying and immature.
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree. I actually tend to stay away from the Steam forums because of that. Though opinions can be useful and informative, it's generally a good idea to include some facts to support it (if possible).
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, imagine it from his point of view. If you were that guy, you'd have to spend every waking moment with yourself, and I can imagine an attitude like that would wear on a person. If I had to spend every waking moment around that guy, I might end up being a dick, too.
Edit: I wanted to post on his profile to let him know he has the option of playing SpaceWar in Steam if he wanted, but it looks like commenting is disabled on his profile. Oh, well, maybe he'll revisit your review and see my comment. But I doubt it.
