Same. Everyone who mentions recent xxnb requests in this thread is part of the S.Gifts group and most are in Indiegala and Fanatical. There are also some xxnb members in all of those groups.

Yes, I received and blocked several accounts, they all have rbrb1 or xxnb3 followed by Chinese letters. Don't know where they come from or which accounts they target.

I just block everyone :)
I think my little profile message helps to deter a lot of people though.

Autoblock, as in I will automatically block anyone who adds me on steam :)

edit: if I don't recognise them, of course

Don't add low level accounts. Most of them are bots. The reason normally is that you have something nice in your inventory or PUBG.

You have encountered something similar to me.
We are receiving spam for user friend requests with almost the same name.
I contacted Steam and ignored friend requests.โ”(ยดฮ˜`)โ”Œ

After recently applying for a friend as a SteamGifts user, I've witnessed ways to lead to annoyances, so it's correct to not add unfamiliar people to your friends list.
Avoid adding members of the same group if you don't know their personality.

I pretty much never accept friend invites but I'm always seeing if they have a Steamgifts account first.

I got "add request" twice from a similar "xxnb3" profile in the last few weeks.

Got ones from a similar account name a couple of times after I started playing Destiny 2, so I assumed the account was associated with some random MMO-related scam site or something. Now I'm not certain what I ought to think, lol.

I have received several from that xxnb critter. It even had a .com in the name. Blocked and reported twice, then just kept blocking the rest. :/

The guy is just looking for new friends, why do you have to be so hard on him.

I don't, but my brother seems to be a magnet for these bots, every week or so he has 1~2 random invites from asian profiles, mostly chinese.

I dont get anything like that. I just get fake Girls adding me to play Cs with them and then they try to scam your csgo items xD

Yup, I usually receive a whole bunch of these suspicious friend requests over a couple of days and then nothing at all. Gotta give them credit for making the bots super-easy to detect though, always using slight variations of the same name and whatnot :D

People are dying from many things. Are we not allowed to joke about those things too? Stop being so "holier than thou".

oof, already calling names... using "autist' as an insult... Okay...

And yes, I don't mind joking about tragedies. There's nothing much wrong with dark humour.
Joking about it doesn't make a person unsympathetic or doing it to offend.

Stop acting so entitled, it's annoying and doesn't help anyone.

Those accounts are usually Chinese, be careful they send phishing sites

Got over five invites recently past month or so from the xxnb username variations. At first I just blocked them but now reported them twice, hopefully, Steam manages to do something about it or limit the number of friend invites you can send with such a low level / limited steam account.

The answer is here:

Those are prostitution advertisements written in Chinese with a link of an unknown / suspicious website. (obviously I didn't try and I am not gonna try)
Those are bot accounts.
You may report any of them.
I received some invites with those words / links in the username and I know Chinese so I am able to tell what the words mean.

On a serious note though, i sometimes get like 20 invites in 1 hour, not sure what it is, but feels like some kind of ddos attack. Those are usually weird bots with a couple of free to play games played and 0 account level.

Yeah i've gotten like 3 or so this past week, all with xxnb in their name along with a lot of chinese characters. Easy enough to block them though, but a bit annoying all the same.
