Stalker True Difficulty

Ok, so I have read somewhere that the AI in stalker was turned down and actually limited i.e enemies not able to heal their buddies or chuck grenades at you because they very much outsmarted the player.
Is there any way like using a mod to play on the original butt-fuck difficulty?

This is cool. But whenever someone ask about Stalker, Shadow of Chernobyl comes first in my mind.
