Someone once told me that she thought I was an interesting person (in the positive way) and it stuck with me. So I guess that would be it.

"Wow! Awesome honey! You are formidable!" Sadly it was the automatic recording of a slot machine u_u
Just joking! The best compliment i remember was: "You are greater than you can believe" told by a very special person in bad moment. :-)

The first little note my wife gave me, before we were in a relationship (and, in fact, before we knew if we'd ever see each other again) she wrote "I'm so glad I had this opportunity to get to know you, because now I feel like I know how everyone should be."

That she can't hold her hands away from me
I was happy and grinning like a honeyhorse because it was honest, innocent and direct at the same time.
A bit on top of it because she was 21 years younger, very good looking, and i don't feeled myself soooo attractive that i would win competitions against guys in their 20s. It pushed my ego extremly -and which male don't like that?- :-D

When I play the French Horn in my local marching band, I usually get the most compliments. For example, in 2012 I played a solo of Frank Sinatras "My Way" during a concert. My parents were there and they later told me, that they sat next to a conductor of a different marching band and he really liked my solo.
Apart from that, when I get compliments, I usually just don't believe them. I'm convinced that he/she must be lying.

Variations of "You're weird." At work, it's "She's weird, but she knows what time it is," and once I had someone tell me that I'm weird and go on to say why he thinks it's better to be weird than to be normal; it was the nicest thing anyone had said to me.
I also sometimes get, "You're more of a mother to me than my biological mother."

As do I; I'm a big proponent of flying that freak flag high! Be you, of course - being different for the sake of being different is also a waste of energy - but if that you is different, then don't feel the need to be a sheep.

A young handsome otolaryngologist once told me that I've got very beautiful sinus cavities.

I've been told by many people that my voice, accent and way of speaking is enjoyable. Ranging from Enthralling and interesting, all the way up to sexy.

My mom said I have great teeth...
...Of course, the whole sentence was something akin to "You have great teeth but they're all yellow because you don't brush them!" and she has Osteoporosis so her teeth are terrible and mostly missing at this point so it's not like she has a realistic point of reference. <.<

I work with kids and while I can't remember one specific compliment, I get a lot and they are always the best when it come from them because at that age it's always sincere and spontaneous!
Also it always make me feel awesome when a kid I work compliment (when I say compliment I include when a kid tell me I've help them in some ways) me because that means that I made a difference.

Well today someone guessed me 10 years younger (i know i look a bit younger my age, but 10..). :p
Started that whole job experience thing, work isn't really set, you do whatever comes along, still worried a bit as it's just unclear how long i will have to do this before landing a real job while keeping wellfare and where i will go. Or as a friend tells me regularly stop seeing the bears on the road.
I must go through this i know.
