If this is one of those grey or black market key resellers, prepare for major blacklisting.

Just because a website advertises something doesn't make it legal.
I've seen some things on Google AdSense that I have no damn clue how it slipped past them.
Comment has been collapsed.
I won't go into specifics on what the ads entailed, but I'm pretty damn sure they were illegal in 99% of the world.

And how much import tax do you think these websites pay?

It's the fact that most grey markets like this are grey market for a reason. They can get a profit off of this and not always are the keys properly bought. It's because they have no big form of checking the keys and it causes hassle for devs.
When it comes to the sites you listed (unsure of eBay though) with the exception of Craigslist they have protections for users that are easily enforced and you don't have to pay extra just in case you get scammed.
Also IGN... People still take that seriously? I stopped actually caring about anything IGN related before I was sixteen.

you are bringing the typical, generic arguments against marketplace sites like G2A. cdkeys is not a marketplace. has there ever been a case of stolen keys on cdkeys.com? i can't find any. i also don't think they have any kind of paid insurance like Shield. so, all your arguments don't really apply here.

Because I've seen so much stuff get past the censors when you have Ad Personalization turned off.
Gun runners, drug dealers, people who sell CP, killers for hire.
The amount of stuff that has passed through adsense astounds me.

it is a grey market website, it literally says it in their FAQ

Just used that site, I thought GreenManGaming.com was supposed to be fully legit?

I could use some title names (if you know them), because I recently bought from them and I'd hate to have my key revoked.

The Witcher 3 was one of the big ones. Activision and Ubisoft have also stated they aren't authorized sellers.
There were also issues with Black Ops 3 and Battlefield.
Thats just part of the story

Thank you, I have whitelisted you for the trouble.
I currently have Tumblestone running for whitelisted users.

Dark Souls 3, Witcher 3 and various COD games (especially Black Ops) are the GMG shitstorms that I've noticed. It generally hasn't led to keys getting revoked - but on most of those occasions GMG have had to pull the keys from sale after getting in trouble with the publishers and have ended up getting rid of them through their 'mystery bundles'. And after a string of embarrassing grey market incidents GMG now seem to have gone back to behaving themselves rather than risk losing authorised retailer status with so many publishers.

It appears to be an EMEA key so no, it will not work in NA.

Bought myself a Lego: Worlds for EUR10,52 or BRL$34,00 (that came with 2 DLC (Soundtrack + Early Access Reward) for me it's about $30 or BRL$87.

Imo, kinguin and g2a are more reputable.
I wouldn't touch cdkeys.com with a 10 foot pole.

You call market places more reputable than a key seller who stands for its own? And therefore has to replace keys and take care of its reputation?
CDKeys is the key seller which is being named most often on deals pages / communities here for at least two years and I've yet to see complaints about invalid keys and such things. Whereas you just have to mention "G2A" in a discussion to turn it into shitposts and rants.
I still buy at G2A (of course only from high rated sellers), especcially removed games, and yes, they are taking care of invalid keys even without the scammy shield, but in other stores invalid keys aren't occuring so often in the first place.

not now, they also said that before and quite a number of people confirmed that. i read that shield only gets you to the top of the waiting list here on SG, months or even years ago.

Want a safe place to buy game? Go straight on steam and you will be safe, Gaben will be very happy but dont forget to prepare a huge amount of money in your pocket.
I dont have lots of money, so i choose the other way, the cheaper one. I go on G2A, choose high rated seller, normally 99% or 100%, check their feedback, buy from them (not from G2A and their F*cking Shitty Shield) .Got the games.
Legit or not is not the most important to me. Its money.
CDKEYS is same the G2A seller to me. I dont have any problem with them.
Comment has been collapsed.
Legit or not should matter to you. If the key was bought with a stolen card it is fraud and the key will probably be revoked.
Comment has been collapsed.
Agree.
Thats why i have to choose the high rated seller. A little bit risky, but in my opinion, its worth. At least i yet to open any ticket on G2A about revoked keys, one time it was a wrong game but was resolved in minutes . Maybe Im still in luck.

Just tried with Lego Worlds and the coupon wouldn't apply for some reason.

Did you sign up? The coupon doesn't apply for guest purchase

The question I'm asking is important, because they might be practicing different pricing depending on the computer you're on (not the country, since they're not legally declared in countries), which is illegal.
Also asking for a phone number verification for buying something is illegal in Europe, especially after you already you paid.
If what I think is verified, then what the fuck are Steamgift mods doing?

From IGN's eksong82 who posts their Daily Deal articles
"I dont post G2A. G2A is a marketplace for private sellers so there is no consistency in customer service. It is possible individual sellers get keys illegally. Alternatively everything goes through CDKeys themselves so customer service is stellar. They run way too much volume for so many years publicly for me to assume they are acquiring keys illegally."

I've bought from CDKEYs, I also buy from GMG, Bundlestars, Steam. I do not buy from kinguin or G2A.

what do you mean by questionable origin? just from other regions (which i find absolutely fine) or actually stolen games? because i cannot find anything about cdkeys and stolen keys (other than random people on the internet making generic comments about grey market sites). as far as i can say, no stolen keys on this site. just games from cheaper regions. which is basically what we do when trading on ST anyway.
EDIT: and here we go again. blacklisted for daring to say anything not negative about key stores. lol. ^^

Well, whitelisted for thinking critically too.
From what I can tell there aren't any specific accusations or issues (or, at least none presented yet), it's your standard guilt by association from people who always read grey market as black and conflate arguments against specific places/practices as inherently true of all market activity, regardless of any consumer rights perspectives.
Basically--it's the grey market, as told by people who see only black or white.
