I agree that people should read the post to avoid this kind of thing, but I wonder if it would be possible to have a separate sections somehow. There could be sections for general game giveaways, gifter-only giveaways, DLC giveaways, private giveaways that you have an invite to, etc.

If you are gifted DLC / expansions steam won't even let you accept them if you don't have the base game.

thanks for the heads up, i am guilty of this and some glad i read this forum. I have since removed my entry as I do not own the game lol.

Let's give the benefit of the doubt to the winner that they intend to purchase it if they win.

Otherwise, any negative feedback they leave should be voided.

I'm not sure if this is possible, but cg should implement a system that prevents people without the game to win DLC for that game.

I also nearly entered that giveaway. Always check the steam store page so you know what you are entering for. Also read the description.

This is why I think there needs to be more robust options for giveaway creators, things like this.
