Basically, you buy games that can be activated on Steam and have never been given away for free any time in the past and give them away here. You gain levels based on the value of the games you give away. It is a bit more complicated than that, but you can find everything explained in the FAQ. You may also want to read the Guidelines.

Welcome to SG :)

I will never understand people who immediately jump to a forum and ask easily answerable questions like this.

Unless this is somehow the first website they've ever encountered, I can't think of a reason they wouldn't notice the "Help" category that's in the same bar as "Discussions."

it's like a national sport that we have in Italy, although the OP is Russian
basically, here everyone doesn't ever bother to read any kind of instruction (and as a small businessman I could give thousands of examples) and goes straight to the cell phone or the forums to ask for help, even if it's just to ask "where do the banknotes go?"
so i'm never surprised.. xD

Right you are, but to be fair and for the sake of argument... to read manuals and instructions at all in this day and age, which is all about insta-gratification AND insta-answers? Either GIF it, Youtube it, big-red-button it or otherwise you kinda expect too much from your average netizen. FAQs are as current as Laser discs.

Don't listen those trolls above... You must fight enough of other users here to gain experience in battle royale. One killed player gives you 100 xp and ability to create GTA V Steam key giveaway. No need to thank me.

Since it's a giveaway site, that means you can level up by giving away games, dlcs, software, etc.

Seeing as you are new here, welcome to SG. 🙂
.. and congrats on your first win. 👍

If you haven't already, please read the ToS, FAQ and Guidelines of this site to avoid rookie mistakes.

A couple of interesting links for a new user:

Also using the search function often helps you find answers quickly, since lots of question have already been asked and answered here.

Thanks for posting this.

Nice to see people who actually understand the concept of being a newbie.

I'm new here and while the search function is second nature to me (I'm basically a forum veteran), younger members don't think about using it and ask basic questions. To be absolutely fair, I didn't find the information about leveling up in that FAQ til 2 days ago when I saw it mentioned here to this user. I wasn't that bothered though, so didn't really look to begin with, but it was interesting to know, so thank you.

The sad thing is, when people get the kind of troll reaction from a community that this guy got, they never log in again. :(

Thank you for the kind words. :-)

I read the FAQ, TOS and Guidelines before actually signing on to SG. But I known that most people don't do it that way.
So I've made some copy & paste friendly templates to post in topics like this one.

If new a user continues to ask the same things over and over, then I too might get a bit more snarky in my replies.

Oh, if a user does that, or makes a gazillion threads asking various questions after being told how to use the search function, or how to find said info at specific links, then yeah. At that point, they're just attention seeking and a certain amount of snark is certainly justified. lol.
