Do you prefer to gib to Collecters that gib more but play less, or leachers that gib less but play more?

Can't always pick your winner. Obviously better if the winner plays the game you spend a large chunk of cash on, but it doesn't always happen. I've been both the gifter and the winner in this case.

This, It fluctuates very much which games I like to play, if at all. (sometimes it is like: In the evening 2 days from now I have decent time to game and I am looking forward to go playing Orwell, then the date arrives and I feel like doing nothing at all ^^)

On the other side I have put my wins in a seperate tag in my library so it is easier if I have no idea what to play where to look first

That has happened to me as well, not always in the mood. Also real life stuff getting in the way, like when I was trying to play Witcher 3. Meanwhile, I played the admittedly shorter Maize from start to finish with only occasional annoyances.

The main issue is that so far, every single "leech" [In the most precise usage, that being any user with both a fair number of wins and a ratio where wins are a multiple of their sent games.] on this site that I've encountered, has eventually revealed themselves to be ungrateful and self-centered and entitled. Inherently, it's more ideal to see a game get played, but overall, I think many of us would rather accept a karmic balance [ie, "this user will pay this forward through the site, so I lose nothing by giving them this game"] than willingly give to someone who will only give the gifter enough attention to spit on them. Neither group is ideal to gift to, but "leeches" are so associated with a certain mentality, that it colors all expectations toward users with low ratios in very negative ways.

As far as low ratio, all the high level (ie, regular gifter) users I've discussed such things with (as well as myself) don't inherently have any issues with such. However, given how very negative a significant portion of SG's userbase can be, we tend to want to minimize our risk of negative encounters as much as possible. Given that, catering to a population that's predominantly shown to be deeply negative in nature just to hit the few individuals in the grouping who legitimately have difficulty getting games on their own... well, that's discouraging enough even before you realize that by the time such individuals qualify for the term "leech", they already have obtained enough wins that they really don't need more games than those and the massive amount of games given away through free promotions on a regular basis: At that point, it becomes indulgence, rather than "need". [Besides, I spent years just playing Kongregate games and free indie games, so it's not like us poor people don't have gaming options readily available to us- so there's always some degree of specialized desire in usage of a site like this, which goes beyond basic "need" for a gaming distraction].
Finally, there's the fact that between groups and SGT, we can easily direct giveaways toward users with small libraries, few wins, and high play rates. So generally, the matter you're asking about isn't necessarily a situation of exclusion- it's just that it's harder to filter out "collectors" than it is "leeches", and we have other options available to us to make sure that low-ratio users still get a shot at giveaways: So even if you see leeches being biased against, that doesn't necessarily mean they're favored over collectors [even if they are assumed to be more likely to be negative in attitude], or not given other opportunities elsewhere.

(Also, on a general FYI note of nuance, "leach" refers to the process by which water is passed through a substance in an attempt to filter out components within that substance which are dissolvable in water, while "leech" refers to the process in which something is drained away (implied: in a parasitic manner). I like to giveaway some games that weren't bundled yet from time to time (Ken Folleth's The Pillars of the Earth, Kingdoms & Castles, some FF games), so that people who didn't know about the game or have it wishlisted can get a chance to play it eventually.

Sure I'd be happy if the winner plays the game like it's meant to be, but as I haven't played all my winnings yet I won't judge em.

Edit: I usually set a higher level (at least 3+) for the entries to those giveaways though. Personally I'm not a fan of lvl 1s winning all those exceptions. :)

Not true, people do get around games that they are interested in, no matter if its bundled or non bundled. Ofcourse there are collectors as well but not many people like myself have time to try all the games so maybe a winner won't install and play the game right away but he will get around it whenever he gets time. You cannot force someone play their winnings, instead u can make a group (i believe theres one already) and make group only giveaway and only catch to join there is winners should play their winnings or they will be kicked and not able to join future gibs.

Depends on the game, plenty of low quality games from bundles which I don't care whether they're just idled, a +1, or whatever. Others that I would prefer to be played I give to groups such as Playing Appreciated, private / forum giveaways, etc. I don't mind if someone can't afford to buy many games and doesn't have a great ratio, but I do think they should give back something and as Sooth has said many people with tons of wins and few giveaways also have huge libraries, many of which they haven't played. It can be difficult to find a balance and is ultimately a choice you have to make on your own.

I still haven't played some games that was meant to be played months before, because it looks scarily complex at the first glance (Icewind Dale - sorry Irdra) and others because I was in the mood/mindset for something else. But wins are meant to be played - though we have no control after creating the giveaway. Blacklisting, WL or group giveaways offer some control over who wins the game, but that's all that's doable.

A) Gib?
B) I don't care who gets the key as long as they freaking hit "received" without me nagging them for 3 weeks and then ending up doing a ticket.

A) Gib?

Short for "Giblets" [in gaming, chunks of body part fragments (typically caused by an enemy exploding upon death)], "Good in Bed", "Gastrointestinal Bleeding", or, within the context of SG, "Giveaway". For an amusing irony, it also is short for "Google it, Bitch".

I always presume that if you decide to give something, you have total awareness that there will be risks that it will not be used as you imagined and, therefore, you shouldn't make rules about what's not yours any longer.

I prefer that people play they wins and do my best to play mine, even before games I purchased.

However, I don't get upset if people just add my giveaway to their collection or idle for cards... it's a waste of a game that could bring pleasure to someone but that's the winner's choice :)

If you want people to play wins give it directly or I don't know give them away in actually playing games and playing appreciated. People forget that they are giving to strangers, winners owe you nothing and it was your choice to make the risk of the random winner you got.

If I want a game I bought to be played im smart about it and give it to people who will play it. Which is why I liked giving to groups :)

I just want my added contributor value as long as the game is redeemed by the winner.
