Sage advice from the incomparable Marshawn Lynch.

And of course, a giveaway, for those of you who would rather play computer games than take care of your chicken.

Do you believe you're currently doing enough to take care of your chicken?

Absolutely -- my chicken is well-cared for
Sadly, no -- my chicken has fallen into disrepair

yeah, uh... what?

what, sad... no bumps till I got here, and yet 8 entries into your giveaway. How sad.

Here's what I think is happening:

People are watching, and really absorbing Mr. Lynch's wisdom... and then when the video ends, they are so energized to immediately begin taking care of their chicken... that they forget to come back and bump the thread.

Little explanation for non english speakers ?

I dont get why, but seems like "chicken" is a slang for money.

Or is it?

Mr. Lynch refers to money separately, when he advises to take care of our "bread."

So I wonder if "chicken" has a different meaning. Possibly an existential meaning, that cannot even be understood by our normal human brains.

I'm basically a native English speaker and even I find it strange. He used "bread" to refer to money, which is not unusual, but "chicken"?? I've honestly never heard that before. It might be some kind of black athlete thing. Anyway it occurs to me that the term "nest egg" is used to refer to an investment or financial assets (like savings) and what do chickens do? Lay eggs in nests. So maybe that is what he was going for? That might be giving him too much credit though. Perhaps as in the wisdom of one Dave Chappelle, maybe black people just like chicken..... and are inclined to use it as a euphemism for this or that. Okay, well truthfully I like chicken too

I agree with other SG-ers saying this video is quite strange. You were right when you replied, canis39, that he is not talking about the money because he listed the whole damn main course in his words of wisdom. I hope someone can enlighten us on what the dude is talking about because I am now very curious to learn xD

but yes, I do take care of me chicken, thankyouverymuch, Mr. Hockeyplayer!

Also, what kind of poll is that? "Fallen into disrepair" sounds like it is some sort of Robot Chicken! And if so, does it require constant care, not that I would replace my real chicken with an artificial one, mind you...

My guess is that he's saying "checking" like "checkings account."

I laughed so hard trying to figure out what he was trying to say... My guess for that is because he's talking about getting to retirement...

Nevertheless, it's funny for some good laughs...

lol, the dude is right, all my Stardew Valley chickens get treated with extra care and a dedicated daily hug, and they thank me with beautiful quality eggs. What else do I need? xD

Other than that, I'm not sure what he's talking about but he seems to know his stuff! :D
