How Dreadful of a deal is this for you? ๐Ÿ˜Š

[Buy] I like collections, especially unowned ones. I'm buying!
[Have] Price-wise it's ok, but... I already bought them.
[Skip] Ermmm... I would like 50 individual games for that price, not 5 apps each containing 10 games on average!!!

Hm, I only have the first one... Perhaps I should play it and then decide whether to buy the rest...

[ehh, no time to play, so I just bought it]

Open question, off-topic:
Is this understandable enough from the chart?
D๐ŸŽฎ = Deck-playable
DโŒ = Deck-unsupported
Dโœ… = Deck-verified (unfortunately not present in this list)
No D = Deck-unknown.

While having "Deck" instead of "D" would make it more understandable, we usually have an issue with the character limit because listing the whole bundles list on mouseover takes a lot of characters.
(Does anyone even use that?)

Also, "D" is consistent with the other platform types "W" = Win, "L"= Linux, "M" = Mac.
It's impossible to use the actual symbols because SG's markdown formatting pushes the images to the end of the post.

As a SteamDeck owner, I had no idea what these symbols were supposed to convey. :P
Maybe SD instead of D?

Personally I would just put SD when the game is listed as verified or playable, and put nothing if it's listed as "unsupported" (same as unknown), because these games often work anyway. But of course there are also games that are really unsupported, for example because of anti-cheat, so I don't know.

Thank you for the feedback!

They're new symbols, I'm just trying to gather opinions on what works best for everyone.

Yeah, SD is easily doable, if it's more understandable.

As for emojis, maybe a yellow circle to signify "playable"? it would be pretty much the same as on Steam, so might be easier to undetstand than a controller icon.
SDโœ…
SD๐ŸŸก
SDโŒ (IMO unnecessary)

Just a thought.

This is a good idea, they are also really nicely visible even with dark mode extensions

Oh, I didn't even realize that the controller emoji that I currently use for "Playable" is not visible on darker backgrounds. Thanks!

You could even enhance your idea further and use traffic lights for everything:
Verified = Green Circle
Playable = Yellow Circle
Unsupported = Red Circle

And I agree with you: Unsupported could be omitted

Not quite. "W" = Win, "L"= Linux, "M" = Mac is immediately understandable without any explanation for me, but I didn't make the connection with the Steam Deck when I saw these icons. Kind of makes you think "what kind of operating system is "D" supposed to be?" or "does that icon mean controller support?". It's not even obvious that "D" and the icons go together.

Yeah it's a hard problem and I don't have any good solutions. Though instead of trying to solve it, maybe you can add a little explanation/legend to your template.

Why not use non-latin alphabets for this? You can fit everything within one character, like D for playable, ะ” for unsupported (cyrillic D kinda looks like a disappointed smiley), ฮ” for verified?

It has been useful so far for me, I noticed that you included it in the charts and I figured out what it meant. I think there's two things missing: the legend in the main post (as I said, I had to figure it out, but it wasn't hard) like you explain "โ˜ " and "*", at least until people get used to it, and an option for games that have a playable status of "unknown" (that haven't been tested).

I do like the solution proposed by pb1 above. However, I do think that "SDโŒ" is helpful, I guess he means that the alternative is not to put anything (like when a game is only supported on Windows and you don't say anything about Linux or Mac) but for owners of a Deck (like me) knowing that a game is unsupported is a "big" information. I never really paid attention to the platforms WML but with the inclusion of the Deck in that column, I always check for the red crosses ๐Ÿ˜…

As always, thank you for your extremely perfectionist work!

That's a really useful thing that I never use (and I think I haven't know about?), I just open everything not on my ignore list on a new tab and check the games. I'm a simple man :D

If you put it in the Disclaimer - D = SteamDeck - it will be clear. Otherwise I would have no idea what you meant by it.

Furthermore, for me, SD = Standard Definition in contrast to HD = High Definition.

Whatever Adamdoodles said, your comment is much worse and you are contributing even less. It's a totally unnecessary escalation.

Telling someone to skip posting after they said they will skip buying something is not harassment, like at all. It's a preposterous idea.

He's not wrong though. What you expect the Humble Monthly Choice to be filled with only people who like the bundle and bought it? Asking someone to stop posting or give their opinion because you might or might not like it is dumb, so they earned that reply. I disagree with bambi plenty of times, doesn't mean I don't think they should post anymore. What am I, the all knowing of good games and good deals? What's next we'll pull a uno reverse and tell Lilly to stop posting indiegala bundles because they are not AAA tittles? We will all have to stop posting with this mentality so we don't disagree with the other party.

I think it's totally reasonable to post that this isn't a good deal for you, when you compare what you get here vs the choice monthly for instance, probably what's known to be the best bundle, and also one where people still complain and say they skip. I don't think it's wrong to say this doesn't compare to choice, even at 50% off and with it's 50 included games.

I'm probably picking it up just because I wanna try it out, even though I'm divided atm and I skipped last year when this had a deal, but I expect way less than a AAA game, which is normal, because that's what this is. A bunch of minigames that couldn't be sold as individual titles, even as indies. So even for themselves they are not putting the bar up at all. Choice is special in that sense, since you're basically guaranteed mostly well received games, whether you like them or not is a different story. So this isn't the best deal compared to choice, indeed.

I mean you're gonna defend a user telling another to stop posting if they don't like the content, but you're bothered by another user saying they don't like it either and to mind their own business. Interesting take.

PS: You also said he contributed less, but at least both bambi and tzaar gave their opinion on the bundle, did adam or you?

TLDR: You got the wrong take, actually.

What's next, telling someone to "piss off"? That would never happen because you would criticize it, right?

TLDR: You got the wrong take, actually.

No, actually. Everything I said is correct.

It's not that I wouldn't criticize it, I would criticize it if it was in the wrong, but it's not. The difference here is Adam told someone to piss of in a nice way. Tzaar wasn't so kind about it, but the difference here is that bambi just stated their opinion on the bundle, and didn't attack adam or anyone else, while adam went specifically for bambi and told bambi to stop posting because he disagreed with his opinion. So the intensity of the responses are different because the circumstances are different.

Imagine you walk into a bar and you didn't nothing wrong just do your own business and some random comes up to you and says "ok time for you to leave". Now you might just leave because that's who you are, but I'd say "piss off" sounds like a more appropriate response to me.

How about this? Maybe this is your weakness. Stop posting Knut0r if you don't like my opinion. Just stop posting. All you have to do right?

If one user has a history of making such comments to another user, and makes no such comments to other users sharing similar opinions, then it is harassment. It's getting old, it's unnecessary, and it's not at all on topic.

Having said that, my comment served multiple purposes, and one of those purposes was very much on topic, whether you agree or not.

Ever considered that maybe, just maybe, it's getting old to see people commenting that they are not interested in a bundle? No, that user must be a harasser because only you are allowed to criticize something. Only you are allowed to tell someone to "piss off" because you are correct and good and therefore everything you do is justified.

And over what? Think about that.

I was a bit overzealous with previous bundles so I own 3/5, all unplayed...
but it's really a direction I like, and in my opinion any kind of anthology is great for fans of a genre. I think the 3 extra will make nice giveaways
