The other day. I randomly had my first bluescreen. Nothing happened after that for about a day or two. It's a real problem now though. I've had 4 bluescreens today. It just happens randomly. I tried to look up a remedy for this issue. I ran a memory diagnostic. I didn't find any problems. I don't have any copies of windows lying around to reformat my PC. So it looks like I'm fucked and need a new computer. I figured I'd ask if anyone knows an alternate solution though.

I never had this issue before (during a crash from Watch_Dogs was the first time I saw a BSoD on my current PC from 2011), but I've read in similar treads that the program SpeedFan can help you in determining whether your PC is overheating. Also, if heat is a problem, cleaning your PC/removing dust from the fans might help a bit.

I don't know too much about computers and their issues, but I am familiar with the blue screen. A while ago I bought a second hand pc and it ran fine, but after installing some games it started having problems and the blue screen would often turn up. Eventually I discovered that several important Windows updates were not installed. After having installed these updates the problem was solved. Unfortunately I do not recall the exact updates that were made to my system, but it definitely worked and the games stopped crashing and the blue screen did not appear anymore.

Run Whocrashed and post the logs on some forum, they help a lot. I get bsods every once in a while. In my case, it's due to high temperatures.

  • HDD problem

  • Update Windows

  • Use MSI afterburner or speedfan to check temps; if temps to high on laptop buy cooling pad, for PC underclock, buy new fan, or liquid cool

In addition to other suggestions, bad power supply could be the issue. Unplug GFX card (use on-board video) and any peripherals and see if it persists.

Have you gone through the minidump files yet? You should, usually it'll point out the problem.

If it's not bad RAM as you checked, it's almost certainly shitty drivers or a hard drive issue or bad power supply.
