Which Character is your favorite in Attack On Titan?
Are people really still hyped about this anime? There should have been released a new season almost immediately, yet it too long and I am sure they now lost a big chunk of their fanbase.

yes, i am still hyped and i cant wait for it. I have so many questions and need answers. They had to make more content to start the second season and they changed every time the date but this should be the final one.

Animes don't work like that imo, you don't have 'yearly' seasons or whatever, the main point of them is for the mangas tbh

There is a difference between having yearly seasons and delaying so damn much. The particular anime was so extremely hyped after the end of the S1 that a quick release of the next season would mean huge success. Yet, they took their time and I'll bet that many people who watched the S1 won't even bother watching this one.
All I am saying is, that from a business point of view, their practice was terrible.

Yeah in a way but the Live action movies also came out and I think the mangas were going on, they also didn't start working on it till a long time after the first season ended. Usually, second seasons work like completely different shows even having completely different production teams depending upon who has the rights at the time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think weebs will still be pretty hyped but we'll wait and see

I agree with you, but they released a lot of AoT side material to keep the fans calm while they worked on more content for the next season. I personally enjoyed most of it, except for that silly live action movie and the animated version of Levi's "origin" story.

For an outside perspective, I actually thought that they stopped making it years ago and came here because I was confused, so it probably did lose a lot of hype.

Well, SnK's manga isn't like Naruto or Bleach--it comes out monthly, not weekly, and though the individual chapters are longer than a weekly manga, I'm fairly sure the actual page per year ratio is much lower. I do agree that, as far as the manga is concerned, they could have made a new anime season a while ago, but it does take time to adapt the material and do the actual animation; plus, they were probably waiting for a buffer in case they wanted to make a third season. Like, they've already waited so long, better to wait a bit longer now and be able to make more sooner than to rush it and have to wait that long again.

I still stand to my point. It could have been released earlier, yet it didn't. I never said I don't understand why it was done this way, however I do not agree.
All these are excuses to something that could have been done earlier. Whether it would be better than it will now be, is something we'll never know.

Currently no anime stuff. Right at this moment I'm watching the movie "Zulu".
Shows that I currently watch: Final season of "The Good Wife", last season of Doctor Who, Rick and Morty, Stranger Things, Taboo, Medici and ... some more. :)

Your brother lied (or at least only told a half-truth). It's mostly exposition right now, true, but in the past few chapters we've had several huge twists that change our entire understanding of the plot.

I'm glad season 2 will finally come out soon, but having read some of the manga(somewhere up to 72 iirc), I'm worried it won't be as good as season 1.
