I'm not sure of this one myself either. I got all 3 of mine yesterday while the game was running. However I still haven't gotten a single one today that I barely played but it could just be bad luck

You need to click Play to start farming for that day, that gets you one. I don't know what triggers additional drops.

After some time i got only two cards and not any one of them I got just by starting the game. Not to mention that in my badges list I have in Monster Summer sale "3 cards drops remaining"

Don't worry, it's not like 3 a day * 10 days = 30. Max amount of cards that you get is 9. You'll get them eventually.

I feel like the "x Drops Left" just says how many you've already dropped rather than anything else. Atleast thats how it looks for me.

You need to switch games every couple hours or so much it seems, sucks but I got 3 drops each day on two accounts doing that.
