Is there any way to check if the game has controller support or not? i am not really good with keyboard and mouse so i love to play with controller. when i look at any game in my library it does not say that it is controller supported or just keyboard-mouse playable.

Also what does partial Controller support means. i think i saw it on on of the games on steam. but can't remember which.

Thanks

Full controller support means as soon as you download the game, you can launch it from big picture and don't need to use the mouse for anything for the first time setup or load screen.

If it has a setup or load screen or anything that requires a mouse at any point, it's only partial support.

So does that mean that a game with partial controller support can still be played completely with the controller but would require the mouse or keyboard just for installation. Or does it means that the game might need keyboard mouse for other activities in the game also?

There may be varying degrees of "partial", I'm not sure. I don't check what the store page says for every game I play. Is there a particular game you're curious about?

not really. i was just asking so I know for future. I have some problem with my left wrist because of which I can not use the keyboard for longer than 15 minutes so I prefer controller as it is ok. That is why I wanted to know.

While it isn't perfect, a program like Joy To Key can also be used for keyboard / mouse emulation with your gamepad. I use one myself because of problems with my joints.

I'm not willing to pay for or pirate the latest version, and its a right pain in the arse getting the freeware version to work on my OS. I'll stick with Joy To Key.

Xpadder v5.3 (the final freeware version) should work instantly on any OS if you set compatiblity mode to Vista SP 1 as far as I am aware. It does for me at least, that's the one I use.
