Is Max Payne 3 worth for $10? (actually 20 bucks)

It's a game about a guy that kills people while jumping is slow motion. If this sounds good to you, buy. :P

Can't you buy it on GMG? MP3 Complete edition, with promo code, costs less than 9 USD... EDIT: 7,83 dollars for complete pack... I don't think it will be cheaper anytime soon(unless we get humble MP weekly;)).

I really liked it on the Xbox. I think it had a great story and great combat, but im not sure if its optimized on the PC.

I dunno about the price, it'll vary depending on your own enjoyment.

I found it to be a pretty standard AAA title fare. Shiny, pretty, but ultimately repetitive gameplay that starts well but gets old quick. The multiplayer had great potential but I always found it quite laggy. Not so much noticable lag, but just that the hit detection always seemed to be out by just enough to be infuriating (given how mobile the combat is).

If in doubt, wait for the big christmas sales and hope for a bit more off-

Terrible story and delivery, but if you switch your brain off, underneath is a very fun shooter with great shooter mechanics, and a game theat looks good, and surprisingly for a rockstar game, actually runs really well too.

Well, I played the first 2 games and loved them to death. But I was kinda disappointed with the 3rd one because it just didn't capture that max payne feel and sorta went for the generic fps layout. It is definitely fun, but at that price I would consider something else, plenty of other good games for sale

The game is worth ten bucks, that's for sure. Of course, you could wait for its price to drop eventually on Christmas or any other time. The best value choice would be Steam redeemable Max Payne 3 + Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass from Amazon for $9.99. Ask your friend living in the USA to buy it for you :)

It's worth it. The game is good. People expeceted them to make the same game for the third time but of course that didn't happen so people complain. It's dark in it's own way. The story is awesome noir-style as always, you even go back to the more darker stuff in "flashbacks". Max is still the messed up wreck he used to be, still can't manage to get his shit together, still fails to save the girls in his life. Classic anti-hero. Don't let the hate of some people distract you. It's clearly no MP1 or MP2, but it's great in it's own.

Absolutely worth it. Don't listen to all those people who can't stand a change and just wanted a copy of the first game.

Story sucks, and the tons of cutscenes kinda ruin the experience, but the actual gameplay is really good. It's not the good ol' max, but still good game.

You can't skip the cutscenes. Want to restart the game at a different difficulty level? Good luck stomaching that goddamn twenty minute-long intro again.
