So I've won the game Ookibloks here on Steamgifts in the past (1 week ago). Now it's been included in Indiegala Friday Bundle #34. Nobody likes re-gifters (me neither), so giving it away so soon after winning may appear to someone just giving a glimpse to my account like that's what I did.

Would it be a good idea to give this new copy away here? Would that probably lead to blacklists from people giving a quick glimpse over my account now and in the future? Would you do that?

EDIT: Seems everyone is in agreement it's okay. So let's make it a giveaway of this topic, rather than a public. Enjoy everyone and good luck!

There won't be any problem as long as you activate the game you won.

As long as the won copy is in your Steam library, you can create the giveaway.
Even creating this thread will probably earn you some blacklists. Don't worry about BLs too much :)

Well, better ask the community than support, they're swarmed already.
And more worried about seasoned hunters like yourself than bl to be honest. Then again, you obviously do check thoroughly before reporting (I remember 30 infinite levels). :)

Look at my gift history. I am pretty sure I have done what you are asking about and I've also done the reverse! First gift a game here and then win it.

That's... a LOT of games to check. I'll take your word for it :D

Ask yourself this question: Do you really want to win something from a person that jumps so quickly to the conclusion that you might be a regifter?

I would assume that the chance someone blacklists you is pretty low, anyway :)

Depends on the game... I don't say no to ones on my wishlist. ;)

You can give it away without being afraid of that, the regifting is always biggest when there has been a giveaway with many copies.
Aslong as the wins are activated on your account as been mentioned, no worries mate!! :)

I don't think it is a problem. Most people don't check the list by hand. They use the SGTools. And if you have activated it you are clean. So no need to worry. For example I have won Journal on the 31th of July 2015, activated it and played it. Then decided to share the game myself, bought it and made a giveaway on the 2nd of August (merely three days later) and it doesn't seem that any of my blacklist entries comes from that fact.

If you activated your game you are most likely sure. And the two or three people who don't pay attention and blacklist you anyway shouldn't bother you.

Thanks!
Yes, obviously activated it right after winning, so that wont be an issue then.

Also, have a whitelist for your Journal generousity :)

Well, thanks for that. I admit that I had similar thoughts back then.

I thought about that when I gaveaway Mad Max from Monthly Bundle like month after I won one few weeks earlier.

In the end I thought nobody cool is dropping blacklists without first doing even basic SGTools check, so if any BL happen, it will not be from someone cool anyway.

Just don't delete game from your library in a fit of rage and you'll be fine :P

I don't understand the reasoning for deleting games when there's a perfectly good "hide game" button for games that are really really bad.

(Also you reminded me I should really try Mad Max soon from that monthly. Once I got a new PC so I can max graphics (and not crash) :)).

AFAIK hide button doesn't delete it from your library, so all your friends will be able to see you play and maxed that "Game Nobody Cool Is Playing And If He Does Then He's Laughing Stock"™.

Well, my friends know my questionable taste and love for bundles... also many Sakura titles and all Nekoparas and such XD

Ehh, those are normal games everybody plays. In dark room. With closed windows and doors. And after sending everyone out of home.

No, I mean social suicide games like Call of Duty :P

Well, the link to the giveaway is only in this very topic, so I figure that's good enough, no? :)
