Early Access will be free until June 25th 2018, after that we will probably make it a paid game to cover server expenses and fund further development. But it will stay free for players who will install the game during the initial 10 days period.

I dont think it actually needs installation. Just add the free on demand license. And then I guess after the period it will be changed and bound to your account as +1. Dont understand why they just dont make no cost license right away.

It's not exactly a new trend. I remember an old PC Gamer article back in the 90's were the author was complaining that almost every game company had nothing more than FPS ans RTS in develpment. The last 20 years have been about milking successful concepts until customers are so fed up that they stop buying their games... then they move on to the next successful thing.
From time to time someone comes with a new idea, which "inspires" everyone else to copy it.

Totally Accurate Battlegrounds at least had a semi-original idea to parody PUBG with its Goat Simulaor-ish physics and looked funny.
This one appears to be a straight-up PUBG copy-paste where some random kitchen utensils replaced the character cloths but nothing else changed. That is not a parody, that is a partial asset swap copy-paste job.
