Not letting me do it. It's demanding a credit card this time.

Yeah, I got my trial just fine, even got the "charge" for it and everything, but I keep getting prompted to log in whenever I go to get the code :(

i think its dead, they must have fixed it so that trials dont get the free crap.

That's strange, my free trial period ends on 06.02.2012 (according to an e-mail they sent me yesterday), but when I log in and click on Prime I get nothing but the ad-window you get when you don't have prime yet. And when I use the direct link http://www.fileplanet.com/betas/rochard/ and log in with my still running IGN Prime account, I get a message that I need to have prime to get the game.

BUT, if I try to get the free Trial again, it says I already am Prime at the moment ("The user xyz already has access to the selected subscription.").

I had canceled the automatic renewal on the first day of the trial period and deleted my credit-card from the account, too, but the trial period should still be on.

Hmmm I joined prime it said welcome to Prime...then kicked me out to HUB...I logged in and it sent me back too HUB. So in other words..It is billing me for Prime since I can not log in to use it or cancel it.

So you can't get the free trial without giving them information allowing them to raid your paypal, essentially meaning the game is on sale and not free at all?

I cancelled Paypal and Prime, now i try to go for the free trial again, but it says the one available trial for this account was used, choose a paid package. Why no infinite?

Something changed. Maybe their payment processor or Vindicia bullshit or whatever is down, but it's taking ages to process the "future payment", and then it gets rejected with no explanation.

edit: Okay, it was freezing Chrome for some reason, Firefox worked fine? WTF.

IF YOU USED PAYPAL: Since they overhauled their payment system from the looks of it, they will add another "IGN Entertainment" entry to your list of pre-approved payments. It used to just stay canceled for me, so what you want to do is cancel that new entry as well.

Turning off auto-renew makes it so they should not bill you, but canceling makes it so they cannot bill you, at least via PayPal. Important distinction, since I don't trust them. Remember that Battlefield/Assassin's Creed/MW3 fiasco?

ha ha, IGN is telling me I've already used up my free trial for the account, guess I need to make a dummy account now.

lol first time it actually accepted my paypal, which btw has a credit card thats overcharger and unusable lol.

weird that i have 5 entries of ign prime sub in paypal, had to cancel all of them.

Worked, but i had to make another account and use a different browser to allow me to get to the download page.
