For me it's usually play some relaxing video games or watch some movies though I mentally refrain myself from doing it (have to try really hard to get myself to insert The Princess Bride in my DVD Player or pick a game in my Steam library.)

The one with the most interesting suggestion would get added by me on steam then I'm going to try the new gifting mechanic of humble bundle for the first time (Only Scribblenauts Unlimited, not the whole bundle)

Edit: The pressure I currently am under is not romance-related, just so you know. It's mainly university problems, grown up responsibility (yeah I will pull myself together and get through them, but the process can be painful at times)

I already have SU, but I'm always happy to share the word of wisdom: the best stress-relieving solution is to go outside and beat some hobos. It's simple, it's fun and it works. Have fun.

This really works wonders... be sure to bring a cane or an umbrella so your hands won't get dirty.

if there's a wooded area, run through there.

The thing is I live in a metropolitan area.

I would love to run in the rain in the wood. Actually, I would love to live near a wood myself.

Don't get in over your head and you'll be fine. Stress is just your body's way of telling you that you're doing it wrong. Don't get in over your head and you'll be fine.

Fellow student here! Exercise! Near my first graduation I was reeeeally stressed so I started thai boxe, it helped a lot, something about trying to not get your Ass kicked help you put everything in perspective :-)

Doing something that can take your mind off of things, like picking up a hobby that you enjoy doing to relax yourself with. As suggested already, music and exercise are great options.

I know what you're feeling at the moment. The best kind of things to do when you're feeling absolutely swamped are the unorthodox ones. This is the stuff I've done and still do when I'm feeling lost.

  1. Either take out somebody you know or don't to a tavern/pizza place/coffee shop etc and just have a 1 on 1. The best 1 on 1s are the ones where you sit there for hours only thinking 30 minutes have passed, and you learn a lot more about each other. It's all about asking random questions and slowly trying to get deeper, like how me and my friend went from the taste of pizza to how we both are supporters of Anonymous.
  2. Go into a busy place, or a quiet one, with a book, and just sit in the middle and draw. Even if you're terrible like me. The point is not to create a masterpiece. You just need to take notice of the world around you. Just draw whatever comes to mind first, and keep it basic. Hell, write if that's going to be more comfortable. If anybody is giving you weird looks, ignore them and press on. You'll eventually start to feel a lot better about time and how the world works.
  3. Build something ridiculous. Disassemble something. Break things. Wether it be completely cleaning out your room, breaking apart and reassembling a computer, or just throwing rocks at boxes, if you're doing something that requires energy or concentration, you'll forget about your problems and push forward. And if you do either of the first two, you'll feel accomplished as well. You don't need to completely make the next sculpture of David, just so long as its within your skill range and its going to keep you occupied for a little while.

There's probably more crazy stuff I do, but those are the ones that have helped me most recently.

:D Only way I can deal with the multitude of stresses I have. And you never know when you're going to meet somebody awesome while doing it.

I actually did the first one a while ago, good time we spent...though it should be someone of the same gender 'cuz I ended up being accused of flirting with someone who's taken. (I was innocent of course.)

I do not love building things but I do enjoy drawing and designing stuffs from my wildest dream. Maybe I will give this a go later today :)

D: Ouch...still, at least you were having fun while you were talking. That's the important thing ;P

Have fun! I'm off to the art gallery tomorrow, so I'll probably be doing the exact same.

I'm always stressed 24/7, what I do to ease this situation? Nothing, I'm merging with stress, becoming one with it and losing my mental sanity :) (never had one so it's not a big deal :D )

Well... when I was under a lot of stress I normally listened to heavy metal, drank copious amounts of Rum, and killed as many people as possible with a knife!!! (In Battlefields Bad Company that is.) I normally woke up the next morning refreshed and ready to go! (with a load of hate mail on PSN)

OH yeah, and I already have the game so please give it to someone else in need! Thank you!
