Didn't know about this either. I always loved Inception, and now, knowing about this detail.. if it really is true that Nolan did this on purpose, if before I thought the man was a genius, now I'm sure. I've seen all his movies, and loved every single one of them. I love mind fucking movies, and Nolan's are great ones.

actually i did saw that detail after seeing the movie for the second time,although i couldent tell if the ring says that its a dream or not...after seeing this im more confuse,is it a dream? [ :( ] or a reality ? [ :) ]

Now after watching this video I can finally sleep well.

I knew he was in Real world , since if someone was selfish enough to let his children suffer while he/she enjoying their life in dream world, and that happend in the moive, all that we watched would be just waste which would have been bad, also some aruged he was living in dream since the beginning of the moive and his wife never died

the movie is actually all about uncertainty of dreams and reality, so this is another one who just didn't get the movie because it doesn't matter if he's in a dream or reality but he chose to stay anyway so he wouldn't have to run anymore and the audience isn't supposed to know for sure because uncertainty is the main theme of the whole movie and that's why his toy just tilts a little before the credits. That ring thing is just a standard movie bug like seeing the whole crew in a reflection in Matrix - ooo wow what a "metamatrix".
