AoE III was very different from I and II, I'm not sure if AoE IV is going to go more with "modern" RTS style of AoE III, or rather back to nostalgia with wololo and I/II.

Edit 2 - April 2021: In the recently broadcasted Age Fan Preview, new info was made public about Age of Empires II, III and IV. It was also announced that Age of Empires IV "is coming this Fall 2021 as our Definitive Editions continue to evolve month after month". There's a new section on their page dedicated to the new game(s).
