got my cd key for SHOC in the registry. the other two gave a key, after i installed and attempted to run them. didn't know i had to do that, before i get a key. well, i have all the stalker games now on GOG. thanks. :)

Is there some trick to Shadow of Chernobyl specifically? GOG accepted my Steam keys for Call of Pripyat and Clear Sky but still says invalid when I enter my InstallCDKEY for SoC from the registry.

Yeah, I found out the hard way. I realized at one point that I had an unused GOG key in one of my Groupees bundle. When I tried to activate it, it was expired.

All GOG bundle / promotion keys are time limited, so many would have expired already.
Cash purchases through the site last forever though, but most traders won't have purchased GOG gifts anyway.

Humble had at least one in a bundle. Groupees has had a few too. I can check which ones later when I have time. Oh and you'll want to check soon too, because some GOG keys expire. I remember Groupees had a Jagged Alliance game in a bundle and all the keys have expired now.

Not exactly bundles, but IndieGameStand gave out keys for GOG on purchase once or twice. I got at least keys for 99 Levels of Hell and The Cat Lady from there.

ah I see, you're expecting a Steam "A game on your wishlist is on sale" style email, right? Nope, you'll get to know about all the sales that way...
What you CAN do is make a GOGmix with your wishlist and import it in http://isthereanydeal.com/ and you'll get an email every time a game from your GOG wishlist is on sale ;)

For Groupees, select your account, select the "games" tab, filter by unused "other" keys... open each game to find any GOG keys...

If I buy them from Steam I don't get a product key, does that mean that if I buy from steam I can't register my Witcher copy to GOG?
edit: I finished reading, it seems that you can ask for the activation via email in this case. Has anybody done this?
