Download both and check. Each computer is different but probably the Windows version would perform better. I think this is still working, download the game on Windows, make a backup and restore it on Ubuntu, it will only download about 300~500 MB

I heard some people say it's better on Ubuntu, but it's hard to decide.

As some of you know from my previous thread, I have dual booted Windows 7 and Ubuntu 13.04. I'm deciding whether to download Team Fortress 2 on Ubuntu or Windows 7. Which one will give me better performance.
