How do I contact an SG user (winner of my forum giveaway)?

I had a giveaway for Data Hacker - Initiation on Desura. I chose a winner from the forum, tried a friend request on Steam, but I guess it was declined or ignored. What else can I do?

if they won your giveaway you have their email
go to giveaways created

or can go to their steam profile through their sg profile link.

ah, in that case I guess you could try replying to one of the winner's comments here in sg forum saying to accept when you contact him on steam for his winnings?

steam is the only other way I know of and they already rejected that. maybe he just didn't know he had won yet and didn't recognize the avatar/name at the time?
I guess could try again, but if he rejects you again...
thats the only other thing I can think of.
