NOP ... If I remember corectly 1,2,3 will have HD remakes :D ....
The first three Devil May Cry games are coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One in 2018, Capcom announced today. The Devil May Cry HD Collection will include Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition.
Capcom released a similarly titled collection featuring the same three games in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Based on screenshots released by Capcom (check the gallery below), the 2018 re-release will look similar graphically to that last-generation release.
More recent games in the franchise, Devil May Cry 4 and prequel DmC: Devil May Cry, were re-released for PS4 and Xbox One in 2015. The Devil May Cry HD Collection announcement comes as detailed rumors of a fifth game in the mainline series are in the works.
Capcom’s new Devil May Cry HD Collection will be released March 13, 2018, both digitally and at retail for $29.99.
The collection includes HD remasters of the cult classic PlayStation 2 action games Devil May Cry 1, 2 and 3: Special Edition (Devil May Cry 4 and Ninja Theory's DmC are not included). Expect 60 frames per second gameplay, Capcom said.
The collection includes Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition, with all three games running at 60fps, according to Capcom. It'll be available digitally and at retail for $30 USD.

Apparently the DMC1 port has audio and save file issues.
FFXV...the demo had some major glitches on my system, which seems to be the case for maybe 1/5 of the people who have bought the full game.
If you buy either of them, do it on the Steam store so you have the option to refund just in case.

Which doesn't contradict what I said. I didn't say the longer game, but the game you'd spend more time playing.
Sure, it's not necessarily true that the higher quality game will be the one you play for longer, but if a game holds your attention long enough, complain as much as you want about it being inferior to another, you still enjoy it enough to choose to continue playing it. So I think it would be a good choice.

The part I disagree with is that while you can play a long game for a shorter duration because it isnt that good, you cant really play a short game any longer no matter how good it is. I suppose some people might replay a game, but the duration isnt something you can judge a game by.

Length definitely is something you can judge a game by. If you're a gamer, you spend a lot of time playing games, so being able to spend that time gaming is an important consideration.
As a hypothetical example, support you can buy one game a month, and your choice is between an amazing game which lasts 5 hours and a decent game which lasts 50 hours. Buying the excellent game, you'd finish it after a day and bask in its glory for a while, and that's it. Buying the decent game, you'd spend most of the month playing it. So in the end you'd get more gaming enjoyment from the decent game than the amazing one.
Still, that wasn't the point. Asking someone to think what they'd play more has nothing to do with claiming that longer is better. It means to give a person pause to think how enthusiastic they are about a game, assuming that the games are of comparable length. It's impossible to judge up front how good a game will be for you. It's easier to judge how appealing it is. If both games are appealing enough that you think you'd finish both, then yes, their length would be a factor.

You should totally play DMC HD Collection. I bought PS3 for the sole purpose of beating all the games from the series, cause I have played DMC 3 & 4 on PC before. I started gaming because of DMC 3 and therefore I'm a great nostalgia-based fan of the original series :D If you have never played DMC 1-4, then they may seem old and cliche for today's standards, so keep that in mind.

Wait for both to be released and compare the ports. DMC 1 is already available to twitch prime users and, apparently, it's a pretty barebones port.

They're pretty different.
If you want a hack & slash style action RPG, get FF 15 (or, really, Nier: Automata, if you haven't played that yet).
If you want super stylish, and really challenging, hack & slash games and are okay with dated visuals, get DMC HD Collection (or Bayonetta, if you haven't played that yet, or even the new DMC).
