When you get a key for free from having to spend a certain amount, is that game classed as a free game or am I able to make a giveaway for it? At the moment the site will let me, I just don't want to get in trouble for it.

If it's in the game list I'd say go for it

The rule applies to games given away en masse. If you are referring to the current promo at bundle stars, you should be fine.

When a game is not massively given for free is not deleted from giveaway list, so some people do giveaways for them and their giveaways just stay there forever, which is not nice imo, but still.

Note: but I have to also add, just free games for everyone and free games for paying certain amount for something else before are not the same things, so yeah I will say giving away games gotten for free after paying certain amount is actually nice.

How is it free if you are paying for it?

Or do you mean that you are going to buy a game that has been given out free in large amounts?

Or do you mean you by X amount in games, you also get said game for free?

Games that are given out free in large amounts (without having to buy anything) are removed from the giveaway list, though it can take a while before its removed from the list. So even if you buy the game, steamgifts doesn't care. If the game has been given away free (without having to buy anything else) it will be added to the list eventually.

What game are you talking about?

I mean you have to spend a certain amount on the website and they give you a bonus key. I'm referring to New Star Soccer 5 on Bundle Stars. You have to spend a minimum of $7 and you get it free as a bonus.

That cool yes, I first thought about totally free games that were not removed from list and some people gave away them to get to level 1, like the indie games that were given for free at GMG.

Are you wondering about that New Star Soccer 5 game from Bundle Stars? It's not a free game, since you have to spend money to get a copy... :) It is considered a bundle game, though. So you wouldn't receive the full non-bundle value for giving it away. Assuming you care about that sort of thing. :)

Yeah I saw that its on the bundled list, that's fine, I just have no interest in sports games.

i don't think it can be abused since you have to pay to get the game as a bonus.

Thanks everyone for clearing that up for me, just wanted to make sure I'd be safe to give it away.
