It doesn't seem to work that way on Ubishop, if I'm not mistaken; digital games are paid right when making the order. Physical copies are retrieved/paid (damn I can't Engrish right tonight !) when the order is shipped.
My credit card was not charged but the order was confirmed, only to be cancelled three days later.

I have had this before, it seems they charge sometimes before and sometimes when it ships, Now that being said, i pre-orders anno when it came out and my order my cancelled in the same manner as yours, it seems ths system does it.
I would suggest you send a email to support and ask them. (i did the same, wasnt made aware of an error and told to re-order and give her my order number from which she ran through the system so it didnt happen again)

With Prince of Persia TFS, they charged me when pre-ordering it, just like Steam. But if it says you won't get charged until it's released and the order got cancelled... what the actual fuck?!
Maybe they didn't get the money because you didn't have it in your account and will proceed to do so when they are able to?
(By the way, they make quite a LOT of mistakes. They gave me a copy of The Sands of Time instead of The Forgotten Sands when it came out! Had to ask them to put it in my library after verifying the order.)

Was this pre-order a digital copy ? Because I think I read they charge you immediately only in the case of a digital copy.

Hi, I need an opinion on my situation from someone who already bought something from Ubishop. I preordered Watch Dogs' exclusive Uplay edition (PC - physical) on Ubishop's UK website.
My order was confirmed. My credit card was not charged - as I read they only retrieve the money when the ship the order, when it's a physical purchase.
But yesterday, I got this message saying :
"Dear ,*
Thank you for your order from Ubisoft on 11 septembre 2013. We have not yet received payment during the past 3 days and your order has been canceled.
If you have already sent payment, please disregard this notice as your order will be processed when your payment is received. If you have not yet sent payment, your order will not be processed. If you still want to complete your purchase you must place a new order."
When I connect to my Ubishop account, my order is still there along with the mention "order submitted".
I read this kind of bad surprises often happened to people buying stuff from Ubishop. I wanted to have an opinion of this from people who have been their customer in the past. This is a pre-order, so of course they did not receive payment. What the hell ?!
