https://store.steampowered.com/app/320240 -90%, historical low. It's an interesting action-adventure in open world with awesome art style.

I wanted to buy it, but I saw it bundled with season pass and soundtrack, so now I have to wait for all of them to get -90% before I buy. :D

I still think that game's base price is way too high. Given some of the steep discounts in the last few months, I keep expecting to see it in a Humble monthly.

for the amount of bugs the game has, YUP!!!

I played it when it first came out in EA and experienced a lot of game breaking bugs, like quests you could complete before you even got them, and when you got them, you'd be stuck with an unsolvable quest preventing you from progressing further in the game. I then played the game again when it officially released and not a single bug I experienced was fixed. So yeah, I can confirm, not worth the money.

Hm I played/finished it a year or 2 ago with xbox pass and there wasn't any obvious bug that I noticed, as in, I was able to focus in gameplay and story and definitely no game breaking bugs :)

But the game is quite old so they had the time to fix, which I assume they did given our contrasting experiences.

Within the negative and even the positive reviews on Steam, there are reviews even just from this month that call it bug-filled and even refer to it as abandonware due to that fact. Some reviews over the past few months also explicitly note game-breaking bugs. So (as is the case with certain softwares) it seems likely that missing out on bugs is a matter of luck, or perhaps that the game was designed with XBox hardware in mind to begin with, or similar.

Anyway, that aside, what'd you think about the game beyond the (lack or presence of) bugs?

Ah that could be the case.

I enjoyed the game greatly, if it's possible to experience it bug-free I'd definitely recommend it. The story was intriguing and it fulfills the promise of the loony dystopian vibe throughout the game. It's interesting that the story tackles some "gruesome" or serious topics with such cartoony visuals but there is a reason for that so I don't want to spoil except that it's a very neat contrast to see such a thin veil of drug-induced happiness masking all the misery and problems right underneath.
Combat is ok, you can craft a variety of devices or chemicals for tactical advantages, which shine better in survival mode (you play as a cop fighting rioters each round/night) - otherwise it is either stealth your way or whack at them with any weapon - the latter is what I did the most for story mode as I just wanted to see the story and explore rather than scavenge for resources to craft things - which you already have to do to progress anyway.

If I hadn't read about the bugs here, I wouldn't have known them, so maybe we can take it as this game pulling it's weight with the content despite the bug troubles? Normal games with issues as serious sounding as what I read here would be downvoted to hell, after all.

That's what I've heard from others who've played it, which eventually turned me off the game as well. :/
Additionally, I heard there's some shallowness, clunkyness, and repetitiveness as well, that also prevents it from really feeling polished. Apparently the game also has very limited art assets, so everything feels repetitive (read: tedious) from that perspective as well?

Checking Steam (and other user-based site) reviews, even just this month, those all seem to be points that are being covered in them. Even saw a couple recent reviews asserting that the game was effectively an intentionally abandoned Early Access->Relabeled as Full Release scam...

With all that negativity in mind, it's occuring to me, I'm not sure I've actually ever heard anyone recommend this game, outside of "official" reviewers.. o.O; Scanning the Positive Steam reviews, I'm not actually seeing any concrete posiitive points being offered in favor of the game, outside of it being "funny", and people liking the setting. In fact, many of the positive reviews also lament the bugginess..

Well, aside from the bugginess, what did you think about the game when you gave it a try? Anything that stood out enough to at least encourage getting the game in a T1 or Choice or the like?

Been waiting for a decent discount on it ever since the Kickstarter...

I'll pick it up to ensure that it makes it into humble choice next month...

(Season Pass a la carte is easily accessible by going to the Deluxe Bundle page and clicking it from there, avoiding the non-discounted soundtrack from Deluxe.)

Quite an interesting game nonetheless, played it on game pass awhile back and found it enjoyable.

It's not the historical low. Keeping the base price of 60€ on a 3 year old flop is outrageous, 90% discount on it is nothing special.

According to https://steamdb.info/app/320240/ there were also 80 and 85% discounts, so yes, historical low.

It is on the Steam store, but not in general. On GameBillet it was 92% off earlier this year, with the same BS price of 60€.

Since regional pricing was introduced it always depends on where you live on this rock. I'd have to pay EUR 5.99 on Steam right now.

Don't think so, edit: correct link - https://barter.vg/i/20579/

Sometimes certain types of bundles (BYOB i think) don't count as "bundle" but I don't think I've seen this in any.

I think you meant to link to the game page instead of your own page: https://barter.vg/i/20579/?

Be careful linking to your own page, as that could be considered direct trade solicitation.

The game's a snore fest with a lot of boring running around. Oh and it's a lot of janky bugginess too.

Let's put it this way: I've played a bit on game pass and even if it was in a Choice bundle that I bought, I wouldn't keep it. I thought I would like We Happy Few, but nope. The story was somewhat intriguing, but the game just felt quite boring to play and the open-world was empty. It's pretty though.

Kinda skeptical about this one, this is really a good price but i am afraid it will be included in the next humble choice, especially since it's less than a week for the new bundle..
