so basically i re installed windows and i downloaded cs go just a day ago i forgot to back it up i still have the folder but i can not seem to install it again with steam any suggestions ?

As fine as it should I suppose. I simply downloaded it using Steam and it installed just great.

Unless it's torrented there shouldn't be a problem it should be in your library just have to re install it.

Are you referring to a backed up folder? Stick it in the proper steam folder, then "install/download" it. Steam should detect there is already something there, verify the contents, and then download any remaining, new, or damaged files.

Location, for me at least is drive letter\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive

Well, if, for some reason you cant or refuse to redownload it from steam, you could TRY something like recuva and see if you can undelete the game files.

Steam says its already installed..

You need to delete your clientregistry.blob file, restart steam. I assume that you have steam installed on a secondary device, and installed CSGO on your OS drive.

thanks mate just fixed it :D its installed again so what i did was replace the old patch files and the folder with the new one and it worked
