well, they are older than 1 year..
so, I'm definitely going to follow your advice and keep more than an eye open on these developers, I don't own any games developed by them but I'll probably stay away now..

My hours are irrelevant, alot might even be idle time, if i had 10-100 hours in, i would feel the exact same way.
If you as a dev want to abandon a game, fine, totally okay, so many do (as multiplayer games tend to fail) just man up, say sorry guys it's not working anymore, like so many devs that are open about it, don't do it after a year.
Like if you are in a relationship with someone and you only tell them after a year, keeping silent in the meantime and then say sorry well it ain't working out i am leaving.
Plus they are already working on Forge of Gods 2, the company isn't going down either, so they could atleast keep up their first game but they won't.
I never said anywhere i wish them something bad, wish them financially bankrupt etc, no i just say be forewarned if you ever try one of their other games, plus inform people not spend anymore time or money in this game (unless you want to finish achievements), that's all.
They gave away all those free DLC to lure people into buying their expensive ingame gems, people didn't fell for that, and so they weren't making any money out of it, and that's the sole reason they are now pulling the plug.

Damn, this is really unfortunate. Even though I have never played Forge of Gods, I have about 240ish hours on Mighty Party. I'm not even sure why I play MP, its a complete pay to win game and if you decide to not put a penny into the game you really have to grind to get your rank up, and I'm not even sure how much I enjoy it to be honest. After seeing what is happening to FOG I might consider walking away from Mighty Party. I'm sorry this happened to you Lugum and any other players that enjoyed FOG.

Thanks, their games are grindy yeah, and in general are made paid to win, haven't they also been given away free mighty party DLC like with Forge of Gods, to lure people in?
Andi know the feeling,I played some multiplayer games in the past, which got closed down too, made me relucant to ever fall for that trap again, but they gave away so many of the DLC, and the game looked nice, so i thought well let's try it, and yeah made me get many hours in it.
But you know what, i look at the positive side of it, i got enough single player games to last me a lifetime, this just freed me up more time to just spend on those, and just lesson learned not to get much into a multiplayer (aside TF2 :p but which also kinda died out since competition) ever again.
I haven't read it myself but apparently they are rumoring to work on Forge of Gods 2 (and it seems they got 2 singeplayer games too) so who knows what that could also do with Mighty Party in the future..

Yeah they gave away some Mighty Party DLC in the past, that is what lured me in. I pretty much just do my daily stuff on there and put my troops down for turf wars for the guild I'm in and log off. I don't ever plan on putting too much time in the game I guess so I will keep playing my 20 minutes a day for now, but this will always be in the back of my mind what they did to FOG.
I think Mighty Party is a big cash cow for Panoramik. Some of the people I've seen come and go in the guild I'm in would just dump money into the game like it was nothing. That is part of what upsets me about what they are doing to FOG. They could keep the game running longer for the players who stuck with them and still enjoy playing or inform the players sooner of the direction the game is going but they are only giving a 3 month window and that is it. With all the money they are making from Mighty Party they really just seem extremely greedy and only care about themselves.

Weird, these games usually run forever as people spend hundreds of dollars on them for very little gain (even just keeping the server running with no updates should keep it afloat... might be not getting a ton of money, but still...). Not sure what's happening behind the scenes.

yes sadly a mac haha yea that's true, I'm a bit of an achievement hunter as well so would have been annoying to put time into it to have the chance to complete it taken away from me, just frustrating these sorts of things happen with lots of online games

All minus 1 DLC (which i bought) they gave away for free several times, it was also given away alot here.
Devs left players hanging for almost a year, suddenly dropping support and no news whatsoever, but happily announcing they are working on their other games, i think it's disgusting they way they handled it and who is to say these things won't happen again to their other games?
I would advice anyone reading, to think twice playing any of their games.
If you are thinking about achievements, most aren't quick to get and take months.
